Random game crashes?
Well, got to play about 15 min. this time before crashing. I thought it might be my drivers, so I tried updating to the newest Nvidia ones, 197.13 whql, but my computer wouldn't install them so I got rolled back to the 186.18 drivers. I still have 202GB of memory left, so I don't think that's it either. Anyone got any ideas?
Okay, something happened yesterday to my comp, and I have no idea what. I left my comp in the hands of my cousin to do homework on, went to do some errands, and when I came back, my DVD/CD burner didn't work, and my CoH/CoV was gone from my comp. I tried to reinstall from the DVD's, but the drive didn't work. So now, I'm having to download from the FTP site, but I'm STUCK on the download around the 24 hr mark, and the downloader isn't moving. Anyone got any suggestions, or know how I can get an up to the minute version of the game? I really have no clue what to do. I'm afraid my drive has been reformatted, and I don't know why the downloader isn't moving.
Well, my 8 yr old fixed my comp. I don't know what she did, and neither does she, but it seems everything is back to normal.
Glad we could help
Okay, well, I'm still getting game crashes. Seems I can't stay logged in unless I play in Safe Mode all the time. So, could it be my drivers, since I can't update them, or could it be some bad memory? This really sucks.
post a CoHhelper report and hijackthis report and we might be able to tell what the problem is. it definately is not because of any patches. is this happening when you run anything else?
Have you tried removing the old rivers and running a driver cleaner before installing the new ones? Also, what sort of machine are you running? System specs and all?
It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
Back Blast is right. It's best to remove all traces of old drivers before installing new ones. Sometimes there is a conflict if bits are left behind. I would also suggest deleting the coh.checksum from your CoH folder and let it rebuild when you start up the game. (Might be a corrupted file.) How long since you did a dfrag? I use Defraggler, and I am amazed at the amount of frags after a patch or update. Also, be sure and close down all non-important background programs. Sure hope this helps.

I rarely ever crash but over the last week or so, mines been giving me fits, too. I had to run it in safe mode for a few days with vid settings on lowest. I normally just run in performance and neer have any problems. After a few days at minimal, i put it back on performance and it's been ok. Very weird. I didn't know if it was just Justice or if it was my pc.
Hey everyone. I was wondering if there was some patch or some changes to the game recently that would cause random crashes during the game? I've looked over the patch notes for March, and other than the DP patch, the other two have been changes to the AE system. Between 8:00 pm & 8:30 pm this evening, I crashed three times just standing in Blyde Square RP'ing with about 7 other folks. So uninstalled, and did a frest installation. I logged back onto a different creation. I was in Croatoa, and got to run from the University to the Tram before I crashed again. An SG mate said she'd been crashing in the evenings lately as well, so I figured I'd ask if this was something others were experiencing, or if it was just my machine. Any help is appreciated.
