War Mace
If it were me, I'd do the build in two stages. Early on, I'd take Bash to generate Fury better. Once I had access to my full attack chain, I'd drop Bash even if it creates a gap in the attack chain and instead fight large numbers of enemies to get Fury. Eventually, via Hasten, slotting, and sets, it should be possible to create a seamless ST attack chain with Pulverize, Jawbreaker, Clobber, and Shatter; but most of the time I'd be using ST attacks to fill in the gaps between WM, Shatter, and CC.
That's just how I'd do it, though.

A better algorithm for ordering MA arcs
Yeah currently I have gone for all the attacks, and I plan on speccing out of Bash at 22. I will probably then follow my level 50 build (Without the IO's) all the way up and start slotting properly at 47.
My only concern is that my DB/WP scrapper has massive survivability due to ~40% defences and in order to squeeze in some recharge to this build I am only at ~30% defence, so if I can get away with less recharge I probably will.

You really don't need a lot of recharge to make War Mace good. I have a WM/EA that I ended up with about 40% global recharge and my attack chain consists of Crowd Control, Shatter, Whirling Mace, and Clobber. I don't have Hasten either. I got that recharge just by going after +def sets to softcap him, so it is possible to get both.
Taking advice from several places I have come up with the following build, any comments?

Hmm, I'd move the Miracle slots from HPT to Health so you'll have room to put a couple of common resist IOs in HPT. Having more damage resistance is never a bad thing.
If you need slots for something else, QR is overslotted by at least two slots.
Perhaps it's an excess of caution on my part, but I prefer to have my toggles slotted for more end reduction than you have in some of yours. Between that and the three attacks slotted with Obliteration (and therefore, underslotted for end reduction) end problems are not outside the realm of possibility. I'd consider putting a fourth slot in some of the toggles that are currently underslotted for end reduction. (IW, RttC, HS, Weave.)
I'd also recommend taking Heightened Senses much earlier that you have here--it's one of your main sources of damage mitigation for non S/L damage. The Fitness pool can easily be moved back a few levels so you can take it earlier. (I'd take SJ at 14, move Hurdle to 22 and take HS at 28. You could also move Hasten if you prefer to take Health earlier.)

You are definately right about the slots in QR. I ended up with 2 'spare' so tagged them there for the 5% recahrge, but they are probably better off going for endrdx in some of the toggles, and I think I actually will have end problems without doing so
The % stats on Obliteration annoys the life out of me, its a great set for bonus', but a crappy set for powers you actually want to use.
As for damage resistance in HPT I will see if I can free up some slots, but I doubt it, and I will look into the order of powers, though I think my scrapper took Heightened Senses late and didn't regret it too much.

I have a WM/Shield brute and even at level 40 I am panting for end quite a bit. Count your blessings with QR/Stamina.

Glomming on to the discussion here, as I'm focusing on the same build right now.
If it were me, I'd do the build in two stages. Early on, I'd take Bash to generate Fury better. The other dilemma: Health/Maneuvers vs. Patron Power Immob/AoE. I will probably take Taunt (when he teams he teams with squishies) and one of these pairs. Anyone know how the redraw feels on PPP AoE with mace? (The toon typically runs on x8 just as mentioned above, with an "attack chain" of Crowd Control, Shatter, Whirling with an ST attack or two thrown at annoying Lts/Bosses when those are recharging.)

Hi Brutes,
My previous attempts at SMASH! were failures and each and every time I ended up going back to scrappers, but I am determined to make this one work.
So WM/WP is my brute of choice at the moment and I am looking for some build advice.
I know /WP very well, having a DB/WP scrapper, but I don't know Warmace all that well.
What kind of recharge do I need to get the best out of it?
If the answer is "Not much" then I can probably just use my DB/WP scrappers build since the powers in DB and WP interchange nicely, but that hasn't got Hasten and it looks like I will be needing that to string AoE's together?
