Getting a New PC. Would like input...
Video card is seriously under powered. Seriously.
CPU and memory are fine.
I would also hazard a guess that the included power supply is also seriously under powered, hence the low end video card.

You'd be better off piecing a new rig together with mid to higher end components...can get the rig up and running for much cheaper and with room to grow.
The Graphic card will be a bottleneck, i would try to up it. And if you have the money, get 4GB more RAM since you are running a 64bit system you would like to get the most out of the system and windows steals 1-2GB ram when running different stuff leaving 2-3GB for games and other processes. Besides if you are going up in the world with a new computer getting 8GB of ram is a must
And yes a better GFX card
If I was looking around for a laptop specifically (I travel a lot), would an NVIDIA GT200 series (maybe 260x) be ok, paired with 4 or 6gb of ram and Intel dualcore?
Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

Thanks for your replies - kind of insight I was looking for before getting something that won't work
I'm a little leary of piecing together a rig. The one I've been using was pieced together - and I've simply had frequent problems with it (hard drive crashing, overheating...). If I were to have one pieced together, I'd want someone that was a true professional doing it, and I don't see much of a bargain there.
The model in my OP is going for $450-500. I'll look for options on increasing the specs mentioned, along with other machines as well. If I find something promising, hope I can post here for you guys input again. Thanks again

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
I just bought and assembled the Father Xmas $1200 rig and I could not be happier!
If you can:
1. Thread a needle without going to the emergency room.
2. Have ever inserted an Atari 2600/NES cartridge and the game worked.
3. Can follow a recipe without making substitutions even though you know it needs garlic...
You can build your own computer... Honest!
This thread helped me immensely...

You should keep an eye on http://slickdeals.net/ as there are CPU/motherboard combos, graphics and memory deals all the time. I picked up the same processor in the OP paired with an MSI 785GM-E51 a couple weeks ago for right around $100 because Fry's had a combo deal going on. Sometimes you can find some deals on DDR3. Honestly, I'd go with DDR3 for a new build right now just because there is little to no price difference between 4GB of DDR2 vs. 4GB of DDR3
You can also get a decent graphics card (ATI 57xx series) for right around $150, which is a good enough card for the price.
Take a look around at some of the e-tailers like mWave, Newegg, etc. before going with a package like in the OP.
