Corruptor vs Blaster

Just want some of your opinions.

Which one, Corruptor or Blaster, fare better in the PvP zones, assuming they have the same primary set? And which secondary to go for?

I have tried a few PvP builds in different ATs and none seems to be working particular well. I am going to try a ranged build and now I am torn between which to go for.

Blasters do more damage.

Damage and survivability are pretty much the only things you need to worry about nowadays and a blasters damage outweighs the corrupters survivability.

I'll second the blaster and go /energy for super long range.

I don't like playing blasters myself, but in PvP they definitely have an edge over corrupters
-More damage
-More HP
-And while mez is a much lower factor in PvP these days than it used to, that ability to use those attacks for the maybe few sec while mezzed gives them an edge

If I were to make a PvP oriented Rupter , I'd chose maybe a */Pain Rupter, the sad thing is there is only a handful of of powers in the buff/debuff/ heal sets that are really useful for PvP

In general, blasters. However, a corruptor could bring a lot to a zone team when more than just damage is needed.
