how does fluffy play? i know i can have my bots around a corner in passive mode and pull some enemy towards us and burn patch them...is fluffy passive, defensive or just plain aggro?
Fluffy plays fairly aggressively. Fluffy is also a lot tougher than he seems on paper.
I'm only level 34 atm and it's scary how powerful this combo is for solo missions with mobs. i can only imagine how much better it will be with fluffy.
Is bots/dark hard to softcap?
There are two things I remind new users of dark miasma: Howling Twilight needs no defeated teammate to use. And, Chill of the Night is one of the most powerful debuffs which your dark servant has: a 10' radius sphere on fluffy of -30% tohit debuff goodness. When the slag heaps are rambling around or the warwolves are running through your tarpatch, hug that dark servant for melee damage debuffage.

Recharge is the most important thing, followed by accuracy and tohit debuff.
The mastermind Fluffy is on a longer timer than any other ATs version and it can't help you if it's not out. Once it's out you want whatever it does to hit. Everything the Dark Servant does debuffs accuracy (with the exception of the hold, I think), and it's chill aura is a powerful acc debuff (to the point that, when facing melee-heavy enemies putting Fluffy on follow in the middle of a fight can be a very good tactic).
You can't really rely on it holding what you need held, immobilizing with any real intelligence, or healing at the right moment, but you can rely on that acc debuff and it combined with yours will improve your survivability by a hefty margin.
If you can afford it, two Lysos (the Hamidon Origin +Acc/+Mez), two IO Recharges, and two tohit debuffs.
