Ambrosias not working or what?

Our group got instagibbed by the titan multiple times even with the inspiration active. Its been quite awhile so maybe I forgot something we were supposed to do but it does clearly say 100% resistance to special dmg in the inspirations description. It also says that on the EoE's that you use in a hami raid and those seem to work correctly that last time I was at one.

what you have to remember is that while the Inspiration offers 100% resistance, your resistance cap is still limited: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Resistan...age_Resistance

This means that the inspiration offers you 100% of your resistance, which is 90% on tanks, 85% on PB's and Shades, and 75% for everybody else hero-side.

The Eden trial is also currently bugged. The trial enemies always spawn as though the team were level 41, and you currently "need" a 39-41 to start the Trial. (this may have been fixed, but I haven't seen anything in the patch notes since I ran it about a month or so ago). Ergo, if you had a 39 or a 40 start it, you'll be 1 or 2 levels down from the level of the Trial.

Theoretically this shouldn't mean anything against the Titan as the critter is supposed to con as a monster and be equal level against all participants. In practice it means that the Titan's Crystal Blast and Foot Stomp can rip through those at 75% resistance with relative ease. You can't count on being soft-capped or having high defenses either because of the Monster +to-hit, and also because the Titan uses Salt Crystals.

Your best bet for fighting the titan is to have the tank try and keep the Titan faced away from the group. It helps if everybody has fly (take a moment and drop by the 'shard for a jetpack if you need it). If your team can stay out of the range of the footstomp and the tank can absorb the Crystal Blast, you should be fine.

And if you didn't take a tank... smack whatever scrapper told you "I'm a tank!" They are not.

Nope.

That's Giant Monsters that use the 'purple scaling code.' In missions, they get downgraded to Monster rank which is basically a re-skinned AV. Which means that if the team is level 39, a level 41 (or maybe 42) Monster winds up being like a +3 or +4 AV. Which would not be a problem for most teams except the Titan does untyped damage which gets by all defenses unless you have the Ambrosia.

EoEs should not be interchangeable for Ambrosia. The two inspirations provide 100% resistance to different damage types. Ambrosia grants 100% resistance to damage type "Unique1" and EoEs to damage type "Special".

I was using Eoes as another example based off the information that is found on them as well and yes we were all using Ambrosias. The tank got instagibbed so fast it was hillarious yet sad.

Ran one last week. Ambrosias seemed to be working fine for melee. EoEs do NOT work for the Crystal Titan, never have.

Unlike Hami, PA are unaffected by the Crystal Titan so Illusion controllers work fine for tanking the Titan.

I think there was a significant change to the Eden trial (compared to last year) in that the accuracy of the Titan's attacks have been massively increased. Previously it was possible to fight the Titan without Ambrosias by gulping down a whole load of defense insps. Doesn't seem to work very well nowadays so Ambrosias are necessary for melee at the very least for the team to be successful (unless you've got your illusion controller handy).

I don't know if it's been increased but the Titan's attacks have a base ACC modifier of 150% and the Salt Crystal attack will lower your DEF by 200%.

interesting. I remembered the "monsters" using the same scale as GM's, but with a constant level con of one level lower than GM spawn.

Well, it's possible the Monsters in these TFs are doing something unique (like the very big Devouring Earth Monsters having Giant Monster HP), but City of Data says they have Archvillain Resistance and not Giant Monster Resistance.
