Teaming on freedom

Im a new player on American servers but I have played for a few years on the European servers.
I moved here simply because EU seems to always be made second best, and people have noticed this and are moving over here either because of a higher overall population or because there sick of being second best.

However after coming here Im finding it nearly impossible to get a team, I ask in broadcast in Atlas for teams, im marked looking for team and i send tells to people around the same level to ask if they have spots, but I never get anything back.

Is there a chat channel or anything people use for teams and stuff on freedom? I dont really want to play a game where I have to solo all the way up because i know how long that takes, having leveled a scrapper pre AE to 50 on euro servers completly solo.

Let me make this clear though, im not just after a PL, I just hate having to do everything solo, I dont mind whether its an AE team or a regular team.

Well, I'm not really as active as many on here, but I don't want you to think that we're ignoring ya, it's just most folks are still workin right now. Me? yea, I'm working......hehe.

As far as chat channels, I can't really say which ones are as active as they used to be, and unfortunately there is a lot of PLing that goes on. But there are teams out there to be had. I even had trouble getting a team on my dual Pistols new character the other night, so I just soloed. I think it's just a matter of many people are kind of going inactive till GR comes out anyway....I know several that are doing that.

There are several events teams that go on but you have to keep an eye on these forums, and being as how you're from the European servers, I'm assuming you're over there somewhere, our times don't coordinate very well, you're going to bed when we're just getting home from work....kinda thing.

But keep trying, there's people playing all day long, I'm sometimes one of them when I'm not working. I notice that PUGs are getting harder and harder to find now days, and I don't really have a good explanation as to why or how but I know there are still some out there. I hope someone else can be more insightful into such matters. Sorry I'm not much help.

Yeah I understand the time difference, but i play during the night anyway which is when most american players are on, where as in EU theres only like 10 players on the entire server lol.
It just seems to me that the entire atmosphere on there server is that people will only team if they need one to do something, where as in EU it was people teaming because they wanted to not because they need to.
Either way complaining isnt going to get me anywhere, i just wanted to check i wasnt missing anything important, i know EU uses sals badgehunters chat channel to mainly get teams, so i didnt know if there was anything similar here.

I am not sure what time you play. But we have a group that plays every Monday at 10pm EST and the events are posted in the Freedom section of the boards. We usually get enough people for 3 teams. We also have events on other nights of the week that are posted as well and they start around the same time.

Hmmmm....I don't know if what you do for "work" really qualifies as work CP....being an every day super hero/firefighter just seems like too much fun to be considered work!

I've just come back after an extended break, and I noticed that it is a lot harder trying to find a team....even sewer teams that I usually use to break in new characters seem to be sparse.

As CP mentioned above, there are a lot of people on the Freedom boards that post events. I've teamed with most of them, and we always have a fantastic time. You could also try starting teams or posting an event of your own on the boards. I know a lot of people don't like to lead teams, but quite honestly once you get get started, people of like mind will join and will generally start teaming together on a regular basis. There are a lot of people who don't like to PL and who are looking for teams as well, so the more people who don't mind leading, the merrier.

I am still at newbie in my own mind having been a COH addict for almost 4 months. In that time though I have seen a drop in the number of people creating teams in general but an increas in AE team requests. I suspect there was a post holiday slow down as everyone got back to regular routines and then there is the deep breath as everyone waits for DM & GR. These days I know the chances of getting a team depend on what level I am and what arch I am playing a lot more than it did at first.

That said I still find decent teams two or three nights a week in the early evening EST and am still finding plenty to keep me coming back. Scan the channels, broadcast on the channels and things tend to work out for the best.

Just make your own teams. Be persistent, send tells.

I mean this is my best default script for recruiting: Interested in a Level (insert your level here) team running missions in (insert zone youre in). Level (+5 to your level) and below are fully powered

I spam that to anyone within range of teaming and I can usually get SOMETHING together. I run 8 man teams constantly on villains, just make sure you have enough support to run missions and dont over extend

I can understand you very well Predatoric. I have seen the drop in team request and most asking if you have powers which farm & power level. Like most already have told here, most players are waiting for DM & GR to arrive. The game can get boring if too much soloing and no good teams. Recently i have found an old time player which feel the same as us and i was like ''finally someone that makes a difference''

I will usually team unless I have only a short time to be available then it is not worth it. If I have time I will pop my flag on and I don't always get an invite but hey I also will form a team if I need to. I have mostly villains on freedom but one hero send me a PM with times you are on and I will be happy to hook up.

I would highly recommend doing sewer team which should get you to lv8 from there head over to PP or hollows after.

You should be able to find players in ether of those locations.

i always got invited quick whenever on a non-50 character. maybe dxp weekend has somethin to do with it tho

If you're on redside, call out for any Chronos VG members to send you an invite. We're a 10-VG coalition, always taking new members! One of our various leaders are usually at the starting point of Mercy Island calling out recruitment at night. (night being 9ish eastern atlantic time for me)

I'm also EU playing on the US servers and sometimes it's quiet. Way it is. Add a few of the Freedom channels to your list - Rf2009, freedom, freedom tf, freedom badges, radio freedom - if you know how to search for channels do so and add the populated ones. Tonight I picked up an ITF, a RSF and a 3rd respec randomly so there are still people out there, hit me up on my global if you want some company.

I find more often then not players are looking for teams some times instead of putting one together.

Like the other day i made a new DP 5 players posting looking for sewer team but no one created one so i did.
