Sending Inf to an alt?

Currently, you need to find a trusted individual, and arrange a trade. They hold your Inf then you pass it to the alt.

In a couple months, Issue 17 will revamp our mail system, and you will be able to mail inf and items to characters on the same side.

While I understand and commend the general wariness indicated above, please be aware that I regularly approach total strangers (on low-level characters) and Tell them "Would you like to earn some start-up Inf for this hero by helping me transfer to an Alt?"

I've done this about a dozen times, and have NEVER been cheated or ripped off in any way.

Politeness and consideration demand that you do a minimum of prep on your own by having your Alt in the same Zone (I prefer Atlas) as the hero from whom you're transfering.

This makes it quick and easy for the person lending you a hand, they don't have to wait while you schlep your Transfer-ee back to Atlas from Whatever-zone to complete the transfer.

I usually just do a Trade, like 5.5m inf to the holder, and tell them to Trade me back 5m, keeping 500,000 inf for themselves. This appears to be a sufficient reward, I've never had a complaint. But the one time I forgot to bring my Transfer-ee back to Atlas ahead of time, I asked the holder to keep 1m inf as recompense for the extended wait.

Edit to add: Be sure to check that the holder is not on a Trial Account, there is a limit to how much Inf they can hold at any time, I think it's around 50K, not enough to make the transfer worth the time or effort for either party. (But feel free to Gift the Trial Accounter 50K if you can spare it, just for the heck of it!)
