Demon, my diagnosis is also bipolar disorder, I also have generalized panic disorder. I've been seeing therapists since I was 7 and I've been medicated for the last 9 years. My body builds up a resistance to my meds and I eventually have to switch things around. Now is one of those times for a change up on the meds. Saw my shrink yesterday and she did a minor tweak to my mood stabilizer, increased it from .5 mg to 1.5 mg. Can't change too much at once otherwise we don't know what's working & what's not. Tonight I go see my therapist. He's a really awesome guy and talking to him helps. But like I said, I've been seeing therapists since I was 7 and I guess I just don't understand why I'm not getting any better. It's frustrating. It's tiring. It makes me very sad. |
