Random SG kicks?

A couple of people I know from one of my SGs reported logging in with one of their characters on Virtue today, only to find them SG-less. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Only reasons you should ever be ejected from an SG is:
- if you transferred to another server (even if you transfer back, you wont belong to the SG unless you are reinvited).
- somebody kicked them. This would be done for any number of personal reasons by anybody who has the permissions to do so. Check your SG options to see which ranks have permission.
- they quit, either intentionally or accidentally.

In short, no. I don't know of any other automated process that would "randomly" kick people from their SG. Players logged off for X amount of days and even those having an inactive account will still remain in an SG. Even if you rename your character, your friend list and SG status remains intact.

Not personally but a little while ago this happened to our Super Leader. He logged in and found he been booted from the SG

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

Funky bug, I guess. I saw something similar happen years ago.
Someone in the SG was suddenly not in it. He was online and didn't quit. I was the only person online who could have kicked him and I didn't. Neither of us had any system message in the chat window. He was just in the SG one minute and out of it the next minute.

Funny thing, it's happened to a friend of mine this night in Union, we were chatting and he suddenly said "lol, I've been kicked or what?" I said "what do you mean" and he replied "I was in a SG and now I'm not". I asked him what was his previous sg and he wasn't able to say it because he was using in that moment a character that he had created 2 years ago and didn't remember what was the SG name, so I invited him to mine.

To follow up on Haz' original post now that I've confirmed some things:

We've got two SGs. One redside. One blue.

From the redside SG, 1 player had all 3 of his characters kicked from the SG by the bug.

From the blueside SG, a different player had 1 character (her only one in the SG) kicked.

These two incidents both happened in the past week.

At least on the redside SG, no one with kicking permissions had logged in since one of the characters had been invited.

I, likewise, wish for such a log. Or at least for the SG leaders to be emailed whenever a character quits or is kicked.

Is it possible that someone was in 'Hide All' mode that booted said characters?
Like when it happened to someone from my SG - he was the Super Leader rank so no one could kick him
