Dark Mirror: Tangible or Metaphor?

I was wondering if the Dark Mirror system is going to be CoH/V's version of ChampO's Nemesis system.
As such: metaphor.
I suspect it will allow us to fight an evil version of our character. I got that from the announcement saying that Dark Mirror will match our character "blow for blow". 
I have only this to say.

PS- Yes, I follow the consensus that the "enemy that will match us blow for blow" will be an evil/good version of our toon. It would make it interesting if there was a whole mission where the last room was an evil version of each member of the team. >_>

What my hope/rampant speculation is, is a shape-shifting group that takes the form what they're fighting (or what's around them). So, if you're fighting them, they might change into YOU and start using your powers. Or change into something else. ...It'd be pretty neat.
No idea what it may actually be other than my baseless idea, but my guess is new enemy group.

Blood of the Black Stream would certainly fit the shapeshifting thing, and the 'Dark Mirror' could be a clever link back to their 'oil' orientation.
Rampant crap: She said Nemesis, capital N. So, we know we won't be fighting Nemesis.
I suspect that there will be a physical mirror. It will be dark, most likely due to somebody not cleaning it. Also, it will be a freestanding framed one. No, it has no special abilities. It's just a mirror.

Trust the computer. The computer knows all.
It's a mirror made of polished onyx and you have to throw a magic hammer at it. It can match you blow for blow because you'll see the hammer in the reflection and it'll look like it's coming towards you so

I noticed the new Issue 17 description refers to the Dark Mirror not as a title but an object. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps some kind of time travel device that only works in properly aligned dimensions (ie, Praetorian Earth and Primal Earth)? Possibly, it could even be a quick way to skip through dimensions?
Any thoughts?
