Equip Robot and Upgrade Robot
Both upgrade powers are aoe, and will affect all of your henchmen in a 30' radius of the targeted pet. I suspect the Upgrade Robots power description hasn't been changed to reflect the changes, as they used to be single target buffs.
That's also why they cost so much endurance, they buff all pets at once.

For robots I would usually prioritize equip over upgrade for my protector bots getting their heal power for the other robots. The upgrade does give the first tier their massive AoEs, the Assault bot his AoEs, and the protector bots their AoE stun/debuff seekers and photon grenades.

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
IMHO, i would get both upgrades and just use them before you even start fighting because both upgrades gives the pets better powers, not using one, or both of the pet upgrades seriously gimps your pets

Basically, the more attacks a henchman has, the less of them he can use. Similar to how a player builds attack chains, a henchman has a maximum number of attacks he can use over a given period of time. On top of this, the AI must take around a second to make a decision as to which attack to select next, which the player doesn't have. Thus, at maximum upgrade the attacks will not be used as fast as they recharge.
Putting it another way, whichever of the two you add first, whether Equip or Upgrade, significantly improves damage. The second of the two has a lower, but still noticable impact on damage. So in the heat of battle, I would definately put the priority on the first upgrade, but not use the second until you are sure other factors do not take greater priority. (Such as healing yourself or teammates because your health is in the red)
I've been doing some +0x8 solo mish'es with my level 50 MM Bots/Traps to try and get some good drops such as rare purples, anyways I was scratching my head on this issue about the Equip Robot and Upgrade Robot ever since I've had my MM. Based on paragonwiki, it says:
Equip Robot
Equip your Robots with the latest gear and weaponry. This power permanently bestows new powers and abilities to all of your current Robot Henchman. The powers gained are unique and dependent upon the target Robot Henchman that is Equipped. This power only works on your Robot Henchmen and you can only Equip any given Robot Henchman once. As of Issue 15 it equips all currently active Robot Henchmen, but any summoned later to replaced downed Henchmen will need to be separately Equipped.
Upgrade Robot
Upgrade Robot will permanently bestow the most powerful and high-tech gear and weaponry to one Robot Henchman. The Upgraded Robot will gain new abilities, powers and weapons. The powers gained are unique and dependent upon the target Robot Henchmen that is Upgraded. This power only works on your Robot Henchman and you can only Upgrade any given Robot Henchman once.
So, with that being said, when I am normally in the heat of battle, I will go right for the "upgrade" robot being that both of these are very taxing on the endurance drain. Then, add the Equip Robot when things settle down. The confusion lies in these descriptions. Equip says it works for "all" Robots whereas upgrade says it works only for "one" Robot Henchman. To further the confusion, the description above uses "Henchman" (which is singular) and "Henchmen" (which is plural).
When I would check my Bots after I gave them both Equip and Upgrade, I could swear they all have both, not just the Bot I clicked on to distribute the upgrade. The reality is, I haven't really paid too much attention until I started going x8 solo and was trying to justify activating "Equip" robot first before "Upgrade" robot. It does appear they both give different effects. Can anyone give me a "better" clarification of these descriptions and does it really matter to activate "Equip" robot first before you "Upgrade" robot? Thanks
