If there is a last day they will be sending out the closed beta invites for Dual Pistols closed beta? Just wondering because I am impatient and a 60+ month vet.

AFAIK, all you have to do is just log into the test server.

The official announcement starts:

Loyalty Program participants, Veterans and Hero-Con Attendees…

You know I was thinking that I should just take a shot at logging in, but when I did the server was down for maintenance. Now if I just didnt have this job taking up all my time!!

Note you're not supposed to say that you're in closed beta, if you are in closed beta. They ask that you don't divulge any details at all related to it, including your inclusion in it.

If you didn't get an e-mail and you think you were supposed to, log into your NCSoft account and make sure your e-mail address is updated and verified so you'll get one next time.

In the meantime, hopefully you'll have access to it when you get home anyway. If not, then the only thing I can think of is that the original announcement meant 60+ Vets (at that time), and doesn't necessarily include newly 60+ vets.

*crosses fingers for you

Thanks for the help all. I have been a 60 month vet since last June (or whatever the anniversary of the game is) so thats not it.

Aggelakis: Is it against the NDA for me to say that I am not in closed beta or are you just being a hall monitor?

Keep in mind that the beta invite emails can sometimes be delayed or not received at all. i was actually invited into the closed beta for issue 16 but didn't see the email until shortly after it went open. Also, there are normally forums for the closed betas in the main forum list that are visible only to those who are invited. i would expect the current closed beta to have the same. i know the forums for the Issue 16 closed beta were still visible to me for several months afterward.

So the two most likely ways to confirm being in the closed beta outside of getting the email would be seeing the forums for the beta and/or being able to log into test. Of course there's no guarantee that everyone who is eligible will be invited. The last time i checked my CoH account email i hadn't received a closed beta invite, but that was a few days ago. i'll check again when i get home. (Not that i'll be at liberty to say one way or the other if i do receive the invite. )

It's also possible to get an invite email before they actually give you access. I think they did that to me with I11 or I10, don't recall.

This is pretty much what happened to me as well for I16 Closed Beta. I don't think I *ever* got the email for either my account or my husband's - and I have confirmed repeatedly that the email address is correct on the NCSoft account.

One day, the Closed Beta forums appeared for I16 when I logged in here on the boards - that's the only way I knew to go check the Test Server.

To clear up confusion wouldn't it just be easier to say Loyalty People get invited these days Vets these days and Hero Con these days? That way no one would need to ask.

To my knowledge, there are no waves for this mini-beta. You're either in, or you're not.

As others have suggested, have you gone all the way to the top level of the forums, and checked for the Beta forums? Typically, the Forum sections change from English/French/German to Beta/English/French/German, so if your bookmark is set to take you to the English section, you'll never see the Beta section without going up a level.

You can also check the Dev and Community Digests. If they post in a restricted section of the forums, like Beta Forums or the PERC section, you only see it if you are also a member.
