Trick/Archery or Archery/Energy

I've heard alot of good things about Trick/Archery, and i do want to be a pure archery character, but i dont want to do lowish damage, like every defender does, this is why i went with Archery/Energy, but Archery/Energy just doesn't feel right to me, i mean i tried trick arrows/archery, and i actually loved it, but the only thing that put me off was the lowish damage. D;

Any suggestions? does trick arrow/archery get more powerful, higher levels?

Also, you could try an Archery/Trick Arrow Corruptor, which might help the damage feel a bit.

I'd rather stay on the hero side, as i dont like the villain side, no offense to any villains out there

As i wont probably get Going Rogue any time soon, this is why i'd prefer a hero side toon. ._.

Heck, if you love it, then I would play it. It's not an elite set; it's challenging to play and other debuff sets like Dark are more powerful than TA. But it is fun. Damage will pick up some with Oil Slick and RoA. Assault is also a good pickup if you want some more oomph.

Would natural origin be best with Trick/Archery, or Tech? o.o

Because some of Trick Arrows powers do seem.. tech based, lol

Origin is up to you. What's your concept?

Personally, I'd lean toward Tech though, if only because the Taser Dart Origin Power can light up Oil Slick.

My Trick Arrow/Dark is a magic origin character. I can also light my own oil slick, with that magic origin power. The theme works fine for me.

Trick Arrow is a fun set, but it won't have a ton of damage associated with it. Trick Arrow is one of the weaker sets in the game right now. So you have to enjoy the challenge of it.

Archery is a decent damage set, and works well for Blasters. Energy or Mental could make for good secondaries if you are looking to do more damage.

Well if you're a power gamer then you really want either Tech or Magic origin for your TA/A. Oil Slick Arrow is a very good power in Trick arrow but you need a source of fire or energy damage to light it. The only source that a TA/A has direct access to is Blazing Arrow which you don't really want to waste on lighting your OSA if you can help it. However both Tech and Magic origin characters get an inherent power that deals energy damage which makes for a convenient way to light your Oil Slick even at high levels (a useful trick is to setup a bind to target and light it in one click).

Thanks for the advice guys, already made my TA/A :3
