question about double xp

Starting 3/4/10 and I'm pretty excited as it will be my first I'm curious though does it apply to AE missions also or just "regular" content?

Edit: Also, does it affect the xp given for completing missions?

they said that was a bug last time with AE and the time before AE did have double exp so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I hope so... the xp nerf in AE makes running the content not so much fun when you're trying to focus on leveling but some of the missions people are creating are awesome... I ran one the other day with clockwork looking mobs but they were named Tech Support and the banter in it was just hilarious. So if I can get double the nerfed xp (even if it's still less than the normal) I'd be fine with that.

Well, there are xp farms in AE, and there are well crafted missions in AE. I have NEVER seen one that was both. If I'm running in AE for the mission quality, I really don't care about the xp I gain for it, since it's purely for my entertainment.

On double xp weekend TFs are your best bet

Hi,

am wondering.....?

With the new (ish) lvl50 option of no xp and double inf when sidekicked below 50 enabled, does that then mean in effect that a lvl 50 playing at lvl 49, will earn 4 x Inf? (Albeit at a slightly reduced rate than at lvl 50 per kill)

I suppose we would also lose the chance of a Purple drop, but would that also be offset by the huge amount of Inf we would be earning?

Maybe being a lvl 49 during the 2xp weekend will make you the most wanted friend in the game

Am I missing something fundamental here?

Cheers

Sorry, for some weird reason the system decided to double post my above reply. This edit is to remove text and add this explanation

Inf is based on YOUR level, not the level of the enemy you defeat. A level 50 has his XP converted to Inf automatically, so they always get double Inf. And yes, during DXP they get 4x Inf.

Purples drop off any enemy that can drop a level 50 common IO. That's any Minion or higher rank that is level 47 or higher and doesn't con grey.

Not really. Level 50's are earning powerhouses on DXP, regardless of the level they play at.

Yep. See above. :P

Still not having seen a lot of TFs that's probably what I'll do.

As far as AE I just wish they would find some balance... as I said before I love some of the stories I've seen but the fact that they only give a percentage of normal xp I still don't understand. I do understand why it was done whenever the nerf happened (before I started) but from the missions I've seen I don't see how allowing normal xp to be given would cause any problems but still being relatively new to the game (7-8 months) I'm sure there's just something I'm missing.
