Hello everyone,
I’m making a Fire/Dark, and I seen allot of great builds for Fire/Dark, but all of them are for Capped Ranged Defense builds. I’m curious if any of those number crunching/ mids using people can show me a build that's based on great recovery. Unfortunately I’m on a Mac and can’t use mids, but I’m curious if anyone has a build like this so I can go long fights (as this toon will be duoing allot on high diffs)
Thanks in advance,

Concentrating on Recovery also led me to grab as much max Endurance as possible - this build sports an impressive 4.27/sec recovery and a 131 max Endurance pool.

It keeps defences around 20, so it should be reasonably survivable, especially while Darkest Night is running (there's a lot of toggles in there, but even them all running you still recover a net of 2.33/sec)

I left out purples, so this build shouldn't be terribly, terribly expensive. You could probably squeeze more recovery with a few purples, since most of those sets have Recovery bonuses in them.

Are there really that many recovery buffs from sets? I know you can do things like that the Numina and Miracle specials and the Performance Shifter +End proc.... you also should pick up the End-boosting accolades (Force of Nature, Marshal, Born in Battle). That plus frankenslotting for strong End reduction has always been enough for me.

With my Fire/Dark I focused on getting lots of +recharge. Having stuff like Tar Patch and Rain of Fire come up faster is awesome; I can always mitigate End issues by eating a blue.

Above build has 21 extra endurance from set bonuses, which is probably the biggest way to boost recovery. It's also gotten a further 20% boost to Recovery from set bonuses. So there are a fair number to be had, yes.

My build has a hybrid of Recharge, Endurance and Defense so that I can adapt to more situations at will. It's only 24% ranged def, 118% rech and recovers 3.4 eps, but with Power Sink from the Mu pool and the right insps, I never need anything else. A single purple puts me near the cap, my tar patch self stacks and Power Sink is up anytime I need it.

While having more end is always a good thing, the reality is that you give up a lot for it. With proper end reduction slotting, some investment in +recov set bonuses and supporting powers, I find that trying to get more end than I have already is a waste. Diminishing returns and all that.

I'd *never* give up Blaze to have more end, nor slot FS with anything but -tohit debuff. They're just too important to how a Fire/Dark functions.

My Fire/Dark does just fine without Blaze or -tohit in Fearsome Stare.
