Munitions Mastery

What's everyone's experience with this? Thinking if getting it and I really want the Missle but I'm wondering what people's opinion is on the rest of the set.

For an Elec/elec Blaster BTW.

I have this on a few characters.

The nuke is excellent as is the single target hold. The body armor is good; at min, you can slot -mez and -kb in it, even if you don't four or five slot it.

I like it a lot. LRM and the hold are most useful on an Assault Rifle character (since you have to draw out a rifle to use them), but I wouldn't think it would be bad on an Elec/Elec. I grabbed it on my Archery Blaster, but just for the armor and the debuff power (forgot the name).

One nice thing about the armor is even though it's weaker than the other epic armors, it stays working even when you're mezzed. As Hamster said, it's a nice place to throw some enhancements. I usually put the Steadfast +defense and 1-2 mez resist enhancements. Works out pretty nice.

For looks, LRM and the hold are cool. It's an ice hold, and even though LRM is interruptible, you can fire it from long range, and it has a large area. Almost a long range nuke (no crash, either).

Works well, but you'll want to balance it out with what you could get in other pools, like Electricity.

Eh, it's ok. Having the body armor constantly on is nice, and Surveillance is effective for the -def, -res.

However, as an elec blast player for years, I'll say that it's one of the weakest blasts available, and therefore you have to be ready to run, or prepared to die. I would say that ice would probably do you one better.

The body armor from munitions gives you a base +8.75% resistance to all. Mine, 4 slotted with Aegis, currently gives +13.49%.

Comparatively, unslotted, frozen armor gives +10.5% smashing and lethal, +21% cold, and +7% fire. Additionally, cold mastery gives Hoarfrost which gives +Max HP and +10.5% to toxic, unslotted. You also get your "Oh **** power" in the form of Hiberate, and then there's the hold/sleep from Flash Freeze, or you could go for Snowstorm.

Ice > munitions.

Worded that way simply makes things sound more exciting

I have lots of practice. Seriously though, elec is very poor damage output, so you have to compromise a bit.

Have it on my en/en blaster and love it. The others have posted why.

Not unless you put a proc in it. By itself, surveillance does not aggro (which is one of the things I like about it).
