Dark/Rad Zone/Duel Corr

Hi Guys,

Been interested in building a rad since joining the game and now I think now is the time. But saying this is easier then actually doing it. Have had exp with alot of sets but not rad so am abit lost. I have listed power choices I want but struggling on slotting it. Has anyone got a build that I could look at to get some sort of guide to go by?

Also before anyone does this, is dark/rad a good combo not seen one in action.

Is your heart set on dark/rad?

Dark lacks damage and aim + rad already has a heal

Dark can be better paired w/ cold or storm imo
Rad can be better paired with sonic or rad blast imo

Both powersets are closer to the bottom of the list in terms of zone PvP imo.

Dark is horrible with rad....go sonic, fire, or rad. Me personally like fire out of those sets...just because you spam attacks so fast. I'm thinking about ioing my sonic/rad corrutper to see how she does...since everbody is sonic wrecks on corrupters now..going to see for myself.

Meh I would have to disagree with most and say dark/rad make a pretty good pairing.

To the OP base on my own experience from playing my, unless they find a way to keep offensive toggles from droping, fix HD in zone, or buff elusivity again. I would say avoid Dark/Rad and make something else.

Thx for the responses guys, but yeah thinking about it and having a little more of a look into mids doesnt seem to do much.

The only thing is I like to be different and thinking of io'n my ice/cold again to see what its like and if they'res and chance she could be good again.

Na not with the way things are, dont get me wrong yours is good teamed with a blaster for the great debuffs.

But no wont be making a rad any time soon. Still tying to decide on a corr tbh.

Dark/rad would be OK in the zone if the villains have the advantage. Otherwise, your gonna have a tough time but I could say that for most squishies.

In duels (arena), be sure play with HD off, then drain life will be useful.

Nope, not duelled one recently. Not even seen one about. Probably due to ice's lackluster damage now.

It's not just the damage it's lacking either. In my opinion in i13, just -recharge doesn't cut it, as it's easy to just phase out for the duration of HL. You need something else like -res/def, - to-hit, a heal, fire's quick damage etc.

Basically any set bar AR and Ice.
