This may be the wrong place to ask, but...
First off, welcome to the game! I'm glad that you like it!
Next, I would check up in the Tech Issues and Bugs thread, a few up from the player questions forum, and see if there are any threads on this there. If not, feel free to post this issue there, but be prepared to give the guys there a lot more info.

Ah, thank you ^^
Welcome to the game!
First.. just so you are aware.. the Trial client and retail client are exactly the same. The account you use to log into it is what decides your game limitations and features.
This means that you wont have to re-download or install anything extra once you decide to stick around after your trial is over... simply apply a retail code to your already-existing game account through the NCSoft website, and then log in the same way you are now.
As far as your graphics issue.. it sounds to me like you can toggle your "Use Geometry Buffers" option in the Advanced Graphics section, and it might clear it up for you.
If not, then go ahead and post in the Tech forum, and include the results of this program: CoH_Helper
Also just a quick check shows that the X1270 card is at least 2 years old, and it appears to be an onboard solution. If this is correct (and I am having a problem finding release dates and formats for ATI cards tonight); then it is both a little old and a little underpowered compared to a more recent vidcard solution which may be part of the problem.
Yep. Time to talk to the Techies for the good info. Wish I could help.

No one is entirely sure why...well, at least no one that I've talked to is.

HeroCon's Ultra Mode preview was displayed on a PC running ATI, though, so some long-standing (basically since launch) bugs have obviously been hammered out through that tech. Do not know if the bugs have been squished outside of Ultra Mode.

Can't help you with the bug, just wanted to say welcome to the City, Sketch! Glad you're enjoying the game.
Now first off, let me state that I'm using the trail client right now, and I'm really loving it. Its nice to see an MMORPG that isn't about a Tolkien-esque world of knights, trolls, and warlocks, and I plan on buying the full game ASAP... but thats not what I'm typing this up for.
You see, I'm getting a really bizarre graphical error. No matter which server I log onto, Im getting this strange effect with the ground.... it won't stay in place. In other words, my avatar is almost constantly running knee or possibly waist deep in asphalt and pavement.
So, I've got two questions concerning this. One, is this a texture or a polygonal error? And two, how can I fix it? I'm running the game on Vista, nearly 20 gigs of open memory, 2 gigs of RAM, and an ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card.
Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask this.
