Active Community Members

So I've been doing some thinking recently about our server. With any larger community we find ourselves turning to smaller niche communities. We find our sg's or our friends and focus on them, but in doing so there is always the chance of missing out on new people and new opportunities.

I have an idea in mind, but before I jumpstart it(or divulge more details) I was wondering if I could get a head count of active community members on Freedom. I am looking for the leaders of active supergroups and villain groups, people that enjoy leading and organizing taskforces, hami and rikti raids, pvp events, etc.

You can drop me a line in this thread, in a pm or in-game at @Sixy and make a note of what sg/vg you are affiliated with, what global channels you use if any and/or what kind of events you are interested in organizing/leading.

I belong to a group called the Freedom Horde.

We started last year with a Weekly TF every Monday night, with the intent of running the same toons up to lvl 50 through all the Hero-side TFs. We are now starting our 3rd run through the TFs as of last week (with a 3rd set of toons) and also run a couple other events every week, including things on Villain-side.

We're not an SG or Coalition of any kind, and you can usually see our threads listed on the forums here, but you can also check out our social group for a thread containing the links to most of our event threads (since the new forums). The Social group currently contains 55 members, but that does not necessarily mean all 55 are active, nor does it mean we don't have "regulars" that don't actually use the social group part of the forum. Anybody is certainly welcome to sign up for events we list on the forums, and we do have our own Global channel we use to coordinate the events and teams.

As for coming together as a larger community... it could be kinda hard, because I think the reason that many of us form "smaller niche communities" like this is the time of day that each of us are available. For example, there are many of you over in the other channels that I love playing with, but never really get to team with much anymore because my schedule has changed. Luckily, there are a few of you that host stuff that I can occasionally be a part of, and there is a large group of people that play when I get home from work and we were able to put together these other weekly events.

In either case, I'd be interested in anything you've got going on.. (as long as I am available at the time. lol)

I like where this is going. It smells like awesome.

We're just looking for input from all the community leaders on Freedom. Some of the big names that come to mind are Miss Rose and Hatter, Sneaky and that crew, just want to get a feel for an idea is all

I'm with the ULTRA coalition/channel. We have lots of active people and about a dozen of them have leader mentality, which leads to tons of Task Forces being run each day, and we've recently started organizing Hamidon raids on the weekends.

IRON's been quiet the last few months, but I'm still rollin'. I don't lead, but I do prod. If you need my kind of participation, let me know. I'm glad to support anything that keeps things on a positive note for all players, new and old, on Freedom.

Im active. I dont lead, but I do participate and so far I havent posted that I want in on anything only to be told "Gearford, im sorry man but you're holding us back, youre gonna have to sit out on this one." so I think I dont suck too bad. I dont have a group tho, making me all the more awesome (I really just have limited experience blue side, not many friends since I havent been playing blue for too long, I havent made many post accident friends on red side, and I dont really remember the pre-accident ones).

Uhhhh, I guess the only thing ive got going for me as far as the OP is that im active =)

I'm affiliated with the J-Force.

We like to run dueling TFs and Masters runs. I can't do it on my own so I have found certain global channels to be a big help in that.

Totally could use your help here on Freedom. I think there's me (newbie), Umbral, and DuceyKins for PERC. Btw, great job last night. We had a blast!

Oh, and Sixy, that's also the PERC lineup for your query about "leaders."

Umbral's still around. He was beating himself up trying to remember who had the PERC funds currently actually. He is, however, working full time and in school full time, so he is a /very/ busy umbral fuzz. I just joined up right before Christmas, and I believe DuceyKins is a recent transplant from another server.

We have a bunch of stuff planned so keep an eye out on the boards and on the MOTD of Freedom Events.

The ULTRA global channel is expanding. We are a good group of people and like to do anything in the game. TFs, PvP, Helping others level up or do any type of mission, Accolade runs and badge hunts, and just about anything really. As Leandro stated, we are doing Hami raids as well Contact me ingame if interested in joining up.

I can't say i'm a freedom leader but i am active in the community and on the various chat channels..freedom has so many that i'm petitioning for an increase in global chat channels...10 isn't enough!

(i'm would like to be a leader..but no one will follow me!!!!! So i guess, i'll be a follower too. I definitely stalk the cookie hoarders!)

Global Channels are the way to go! an increase would be nice!
