Tracking your characters?

The forums have the problem, not me. AFAIC, there's only Badge-*****.
From my Excel sheet I use to track just the XP/Inf

Code:
=IF(IF(ISERROR(1-((VALUE(IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)),39149119,VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)))-Q2)/VLOOKUP(M2,exp!A:E,5,FALSE))),0,1-((VALUE(IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)),39149119,VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)))-Q2)/VLOOKUP(M2,exp!A:E,5,FALSE)))>1,1,IF(ISERROR(1-((VALUE(IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)),39149119,VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)))-Q2)/VLOOKUP(M2,exp!A:E,5,FALSE))),0,1-((VALUE(IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)),39149119,VLOOKUP(M2+1,exp!A:D,4,FALSE)))-Q2)/VLOOKUP(M2,exp!A:E,5))))
That is just to calculate the percentage of the current level the character is in.

My current Excel Workbook has 28 tabs, which are:
Notes
Ouroboros (Badge Name, Restriction, level, etc.)
Rewards (When do I get my next Vet Badge?)
Powesets (Archetype, Primary, Secondary, Issue Released)
to-do (scratch pad)
Live Toons (Account, Server, Group, XP, inf, etc.)
Badges (count of earned badges broken down by badge category)
A tab for each badge category (AE, Market, Invention, etc)
Groups my characters belong to and their badges
Hero Zones connections and levels
Villain Zones connections and levels
The Exp breakdown (level, min, max, debt)
and a couple scratch tabs

Sometimes, I impress my boss. Sometimes, I impress myself. The rest of the time, I scare people. I can live with that.

I use the Combat Monitor to trak XP and Inf. They work like a charm.

Plus, I dunno any of that fancy-pants coding.

I couldn't handle 28 tabs. I want them all on the screen at the same time. I just eliminated about 3 tabs via consolidation, and currently have 13. I can probably fit one more in there.

All my notes and to-do stuff are kept in a text file that I open in EditPlus while I'm playing the game. I also use that to write my bind files for my characters.

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:

I use my head.

I have a general idea of a character's level, accolades, IO build status, and what market niches are assigned to her. I don't really bother with anything beyond those.

I use frontpage, add tables and list who is on what server, their AT and power sets, influ, and lvl. Beyond that, I do nothing, and I mainly did the above out of boredom one day. I have never seen the need to spend hours off the game, doing game related tracking stuff.

My Characters

My two bits:

When I was trying to come up to speed and become a serious marketeer, I used an online Google Docs spreadsheet to track price ranges, my buy/sell prices and profits.

I've occasionally used Herostats and while it's terrific at what it does, honestly I don't usually need the kind of precision it offers.

I got into badging on one character and Glycerine was terrific, saving me much time and guesswork. (And yes, I'm aware of the irony of saying I don't have much need for Herostats then touting Glycerine which is built off a subset of Herostats' features! )

I do the same, Except I have some some that will be changing sides pending Going Rouge (I really want a Brute and Dominator Heroes, and a Defender Villain)

Does Coh have an out of game characters viewer like http://my.lotro.com/ or http://www.wowarmory.com/ ? I have found those very fun use.

They had one planned that was referred to as the Vault, I believe. They got it implemented but initial testing showed that it was a huge resource hog. They scrapped that implementation. It's still on their "we'd like to offer this at some point" list, but all indications are that it's back-burnered indefinitely.

I know both the LOTRO and WOW ones are built of the regular backups and are not on shared resources with game servers. If they tied them to game database, that would be bad.

I use a 32-page Excel worksheet to track what I need to track, even though I do not track Badges (don't care about them, only about accolades) or influence (have enough everywhere). But I run up to six accuonts and 450+ toons, so tracking is essential for a lot of stuff :-)
