anyone know a good build for a fire/fire blaster? if so please let me know.

Depends upon your style of battle. Do you want to go blapper way or ranged only? Do you want dreambuild, or something else? Do you slot for acc, recharge or damage? Is it for pvp or pve?

Best thing is to download Mids and try it a little with various strategies. But once again it all comes down to your chars Purpose.
And keep in mind that all IO Set uses are well not mandatory...

well the build i have right now is kinda a half and half a pvp/pve it has major damage but problem is i will die in like 2 hits so i need more defense.

Hmm (Not on my home computer now with coh and mid so have to take things from memory)...
Seems that you have to look at sets. Usually a few of them gives some resistanses or defenses to various categories.
The only real defence slottable is in the Pyre mastery. However you did not mention that one in the fire/fire build so you may have other thoughts of chosen mastery. Munitions do give a nice personal forcefield etc...

But yes, A blaster is not neccessary a melee char, we are fragile (but not as fragile as a controller). The chosen word for us fire/fire or blasters in particular is the words "Glass Cannon". Or another word play "Someone with Awesome, Huge and cosmic powers... Living in a tiny fragile bottle!"

Many of our powers are melee or dots so the fire/fire blaster is a quick into battle, then get back to range. (unless you got a tank... thats your defense.. *cough*... but back to seriousness)
Take a look at the various melee powers, like fire sword and fire sword circle. There are a few Set Io's that give some defence (or was it res) on 3 or 4 of the sets. Health for hitpoints/regen (Well regen will be not as useful as for a tank, but hey that one health tick can be what saves you from "Mr Faceplant".

Since you did not comment on Mids, may I assume you know what Mids are?

Mids is a nice program, made by Mids (a coh player) for coh players. In it you can create various builds, slot the builds with enchantments etc and generally explore how well your char will perform... on "paper". Then comes the real thing of actually buying the enchantments in game and do the actual slotting
Since as I said, I'm not at my home computer now I cannot ex show The Lady's build (my fire/fire's build) as example. Sorry.
Also PvP is single target, as my build is mainly for AoE... pve is my playstyle.

Adding to what Lady Arete said (awesome Alladin reference btw) about being a glass cannon, this can be said for all blasters but especially fire/fire. Your only real mitigation is killing the bad guy before they get to you. Sure, you get fire cage or whatever it's called and it is useful at times but played properly you'll never really need it.

I'm not the best person to comment on a specific build as I usually look at guides and then still kinda do my own thing but a couple notes on the play style...

On a team just make sure you let your tank get aggro before you start firing away, typically all this really takes is for them to taunt once and on a good enough team the baddies will be down before you really have their attention.

Soloing is an entirely different story of course. You can try to take one mob at a time but it's slow, boring and almost impossible with how tightly packed most are on a mission map. The biggest trick there is picking which targets to take down in what order. My personal take on this is to AOE the crap out of everything then pick off the minions first leaving lts and bosses for last. Some might thing "but the boss hits harder" which is true... but when you think about how long it will take to kill the boss if you focus on them first you then have 4-5 of his friends beating the crap out of you while you're munching on every insp you have.

Having always wanted to go Fire/Fire/Fire, I found my 3 major problems were: recharge reduction, endurance and survivability.

This is my build for team-play, and it works fantastically for that. I built for recharge reduction and endurance, and Aid Self and RotP are usually up frequently enough to keep the flames burning. There are few characters that I've played that are half as much fun as my world-of-flames blaster wiping out mobs within seconds of the tank hitting.

However, I'll be honest and say that this is a heck of a glass canon, and you feel that solo. RoF, Burn and Hot Feet all cause scatter, rendering AoEs ineffective. Switching out RoF for Fire Breath would mitigate that, and I'd consider BB instead of Burn, but there still isn't a lot of survivability solo. If you plan on going it solo, I'd suggest a softcap build.

Here's my build. It probably doesn't have the pure damage capability that Harkness' does, but I soloed and never felt like it was that risky. Spent most of my time at range, though I did become more of a blapper after I picked up Fire Shield and Hot Feet. Bonfire IMO is underrated as a mitigation tool. Didn't PvP at all.

I am loving the heck out of my fire blaster (she's 25, atm, and rising fast.) All that AoE goodness can tear aggro away from even the Taunt-iest of Tanks.

What I found to be helpful, especially on larger teams, is to wait 1-2 seconds before uncorking Hell on your targets. Literally, when the tank or lead scrapper charges in, count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, then unleash everything you got. It gives the Tank a moment to gather the aggro, and gives the controllers and defenders a chance to drop debuffs. That habit keeps my floor-planting to normal blaster levels.

heh yeah i try and do that how i have my blaster build right now is like the hulk on steriods, that is for damage, except absolutly no defense so yeah lmao

A couple of points to various posts above:

Building for DPS on a Fire/Fire is really building for Recharge Reduction and Endurance. Between Defiance, Aim and Build-Up, you're not going to see the benefit of IO Set Damage bonuses.

Survivability is almost-always the enemy of DPS, and your personal preference on that will be subjective. For some ATs, there's a real "sweet spot" of survivability and DPS, but generally it's a compromise.

In complete contrast to my speed-endurance-teaming build above, I'm also suggesting the Ranged-softcap-soloing build below. With my initial build, you can focus on pure chains of AoE or ST damage, but with this one you'll be doing more of a mix.

I dislike the need to use Hover to reach Ranged softcap in this build (I'd prefer to have the choice to switch it off depending on the mob), and I miss Hot Feet, so it's a build I'm still working on, but I wanted to show the other end of the DPS-Survivability spectrum (and the DPS isn't bad) for a Fire/Fire. RotP is there simply because this is designed as a solo build; sometimes that KB self-rez saves a hospital visit that a wakie wouldn't.
