Can someone tell me what the cap is for the set bonus blasters can get for damage?

If you are asking about just set bonuses, don't worry about it, you won't hit it. I'm not sure what the number is off the top of my head, but its higher than you can get without being fulcrum shifted.

OK, I just checked. It is 500% for blasters according to mid's. I thought it was higher than that.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I'm levelling up an AR blaster and trying to get as much +Dmg as I can to offset huge s/l resistances

500%?!?!?!? That's insane!

Just curious...what's the most anybody has gotten it to (non-fuclrum'd)

with build up+aim I've gotten about 200%, with just set bonus's i've got it at about 40% on my fire/ice blaster

I'm a Mac user, no Mid's for me

500% includes the base damage of the power.
So...
You get 100% just for using the power.
You slot the power for 95%.
Build Up gives you 100% for 10 seconds.
Let's say Defiance gives you 40%.
You can easily get 20% from set bonuses.

That is 355%.

+recharge is generally better than +damage from set bonuses though, that way you can use your best attacks more often.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

I agree with this, Rain of Arrows is the most powerful 'nuke' attack without a draw back. It has no -recharge or 100% endurance cost while having a high damage.

In one of my build concepts I have Rain of Arrows at (roughly) 22 second recharge, the power itself takes roughly 5 seconds to fire, the Default Damage bonus is 120.5%.

End result is 726 damage over a 25 foot area every 22-30 seconds.

well that depends.

if you have enough rech to make a rather seamless chain, maximizing on defiance mind you, +dam is better.

actually, +dam should be siught after with blasters *because8 of how defiance works now...your fire/ice with the +40% should constantly hover around 90% dam buff

There's a huge difference between seamless chain and optimal chain.

Using brawl and flares heavily for exemple, you'll have a seamless attack chain pretty much no matter what other powers you use. But it will do a hell lot less damage then if you chain flares-blaze-fire blast-blaze. Even if the +dam from defiance would be the same or higher for the first one (wich i doubt anyway).

you know what I meant (gotta bump my old DPS thread here XD)

anywho, I think +dam is a more worthwhile endeavor for a blaster to go after than ludicrous recharge simply because of how defiance works.

On average a simple chain can net you a constant +40% ish dam buff. Add another +20% and you have 2 extra SO's of damage after a few hits.
