Well, pretty much anything, in a way. After all, GL can make most objects with his ring, and if the character is only "inspired" by GL, then you can stretch things as much as you want. And now, with all the different colors in the GL universe, the powers don't even have to be green!
I made a character that was inspired by GL who was a Shield/BS Scrapper and was festooned in yellow and black. The idea was that he had a gauntlet that could transform his thoughts into solid projections, and he used that ability to create a sword and shield (I was planning to use the Vanguard Sword and energy shield)... he got deleted as the pact he was in fell by the wayside.

I would say Gravity Control/Energy Dominator and swap him to blue or going rogue. Though, Energy/Energy blaster, Grav/Bubbles Troller and Forcefield/Energy Defender could work too.

Was actually pondering this earlier. Came up with a Stone/Force Field controller. Use the crystal skin for the stone powers and color it green to make it look like constructs and color your bubbles green as well.

Just checked this out in the Costume Creator, it's fantastic. WIth that in mind, my original GR Hero Dominator now has a Stone/Energy and Stone/Stone variant. :P

I used to use a Peacebringer as my GL-homage toon. It has your energy punches, it has energy blasts, it has heals, it has your force fields. Mine was all human, but the forms (especially White Dwarf) could be RP'd as your powers manifesting as armor, etc.
Love me or hate me, it's still an obsession.
Go with a Fire/Forcefield Controller and RP him as Alan Scott. Isn't he the green flame GL?

You could do something with an MM in Going Rogue. Your henchman are ring constructs. Maybe with FF as a secondary.
Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)
Villains : AtomBomb (50 Rad/Kin corruptor), Aleks (50 SS/Inv brute), StoneLethal (50 EM/Stone brute), Davroz (50 Bots/Dark mastermind)
if henchmen are ring constructs why not use ill/forcefield?

I had considered illusion troller, but aside from the pets the other powers don't seem very GL like. Holds and confuses and the like didn't seem as good of a fit.

For a more melee take, Fire Melee and Shield Defense, using the energy shield, can be synced up visually pretty easy.
I have toon loosely inspired by Larfleeze, an Ill/Rad Controller to play off the focus on construct pets.

Rad/rad was my original choice when I made Radiant Knight, my homage to GL. Well, now with power customization, you could do just about anything and just make the power green. I'd suggest a FF/NRG defender now, but rad/rad is so much darn fun
