Freedom force cheap on Steam today

Several of the heroes did get nerfed or buffed up in the sequel, albeit due to their decision to give almost everyone one ranged attack that costs no energy. MM and Man O' War got hit by this the hardest, with MM's Minute Missile turning into a terrible pew-pew power instead of the batarang-style stun projectile it was in the first game, and Man O' War's Stunbolt dealing significantly less damage iirc.

On a slight tangent, I liked the little changes to Alche-Miss's stat sheet to reflect her character development, removing her Timid trait from the first game and gaining Levitate in its place (missed the original voice actress though).

Oh wow, thanks for the memories all.

I forgot how much I loved Freedom Force until reading this thread. I have got to reinstall and play them both now because "Your evil is not wanted here!"

Oh my, look at that!
Steam's running ANOTHER deal on the Freedom force pack. Get it all for amazing €2 this weekend. That's some serious bang for the buck my friends!

(And it was fun talking to some of ya again yesterday, might actually log on some day just to try on that ITF madness once again.)

I sooo wish they made another FF game, but to my PS3! :-)

Me too, the end of FFvTR pretty much states that they wanted to make a sequel, but since Irrational had a runaway hit with Bioshock and then got bought out, it seems the prospects of finally seeing the sequel are looking slim.

Hah, great! I remember playing the first game as a young'un and making incredibly over-powered characters to pit against six dozen giant robots... good times

Never played the second game, however
