Forum login issue
sigh... I have the same problem on a different forum. My computer at home does not remember my last visit but my computer at work is fine. Same browser, same settings, same plug-ins, same OS, same anti-malware, same ISP even. I have no idea what causes it.

The best way to stabilize FireFox (I'm assuming, since this has been a recurring problem for FF users) for these new boards is:
1. Delete all CoH cookies: with both city* and coh* names.
2. Disable CoolIris.
3. Reboot to clear all caches
4. Enter the boards with the http://boards.cityofheroes.com address.

Thanks, Zombie. I'll try it out.

2. I have a similar issue, but one that appears to be cookie related. Between 3 sets of machines (not including my Palm Pre), it does not "recognize" that I've read a thread on one of the machines (the work laptop). Home machine remembers fine, and the Pre sees the changes, but the work laptop insists on not recognizing the "thread is read" flag and forces me to "read all" to get around it.
Sorry for the slight topic detour, but it's sorta related. Any ideas?

That being said, cookies cleared or not....this particular site has it's own issues. I also have the issue where threads I've read are not shown as read. It's intermittent which is why I know it's not on this end. Most of the time clearing the cookies fixes it for a short while, other times it continues for a few days to a week before it clears itself up.

We'll see....

Hey all,
Recently, I've been having a small, but annoying, issue with the forums, and I'm hoping that one of you fine folks might have an idea to help me out.
On my home computer, everything works fine. However, on my work computer (which I tend to post from more), the forum site doesn't remember me, even though cookies are enabled, and I click the box saying "remember me." The more annoying part of that, however, is that it takes me 2-6 times of putting in my login information before it actually logs me in. It takes me to the redirect page, and then puts me back into the forums, no logged in.
Has anyone else had this problem on the forums? Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks,
Aett
