The Earth's atmosphere has 78% nitrogen. Nitrogen is not toxic to human. Also, it is quite inert. It can be reactive at high temperature, but I think nitrogen is probably not the best choice for this power.

Is it oxygen depletion or oxygen overloading? I don't think clapping hands can remove oxygen though. It just creates sound waves.

It's an interesting set with *what could be* some cool effects.
BUT, there's a reason why we don't have any powersets that have Toxic damage as thier prime component.
Almost nobody has any appreciable resistance to it (and nobody has any defense to it, other than positional defense).
Having the minor Toxic "ticks" from the secondary effects of a few powers is acceptable, but when you're being hit by Moderate (or greater) damage effects that are purely Toxic?
Nope, that would have to fall into the overpowered category.
Changing the damage type to Lethal (representing the metal-poisoning you're trying for) would solve that, but would definately be less thematic than Toxic. Or maybe Smashing (to represent being crushed by the metal bonds). Or possibly even Smashing/Toxic (with the toxic being a small portion of the damage ala spines).

Interesting.... Nice idea. I agree that a dual damage would be better, maybe Lethal/Toxic?
Intead of Nitrogen (or Radon in the Edit) how about something like Carbonic Cloud? CO2, the gas coming from combustion in cars, is pretty lethal in high doses and puts people to sleep. Then we could change the "chance for ignition" to the Bromine one (nt sure what to call it tough..)
Also for being an Alchemy set I miss the ability to change things (or people in this case) into gold... ;-) Maybe in place of one of the other holds you create a Gold Statue from the enemy? Just thinking...

hmm never realised there was no toxic defense until recently; guess Lethal/Toxic works.
oh man.......gimmie the ability to raise the dead at the cost of my arm and leg, and the ability to staple a soul to a suit of armor and I'm SOLD!!!!
I like the general idea, but I have a few problems with it. First of all, directly linking it to elements of the periodic table doesn't strike me as a good idea. You're looking at base element which, while sometimes reactive, are not a very good tool as a weapon. You want, at the very least, basic chemical compounds, and oftentimes even organic chemicals, as they tend to have more interesting active properties.
Secondly, I would really avoid anything that has to do with breathing. Even player characters and their oddities aside, a lot of what you're fighting is non-breathing robots, rock creatures, zombies, ghosts, beings of energy and so forth. Sure, when you get down to it, a lot of the game's powers don't make sense, but few don't make sense in such an obvious matter as choking something that doesn't breathe.
I guess I'm just not hot on Alchemy in general, so much as on Chemistry.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Is'nt poison a "chemistry" set? A variaion on it for control would be nice, but, eh. Never gonna disaprove of new powersets though

Ever wanted to be master of the elements, remove your enemies Oxygen, hold them in Niobium or wrap them in Bromine. Well now you.. still can't but here is a suggestion.

ALCHEMY
Chromium Cage-You create a cage of Chromium to immobilize you foe causing lethal damage. Damage: Minor. Recharge: Fast.
Palladium Prison-You wrap your foe in Palladium, making them a helpless statue. Causes lethal damage. Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Moderate.
Scandium Snare-Call forth the element Scandium to immobilize a group of foes. Causes lethal Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Moderate.
Oxygen Depletion-You wave your hands in opposite directions (think partinf the sea or something of the sort); removing the oxygen from a group of foes, leaving them helpless. Causes Lethal(or Smashing). Damage: High. Recharge: Slow.
Bromine Blotch-You create a patch of Bromine on the ground in front of you, Causing your enemies to move slower and unable to jump (Grounds fliers). Damage: Minor. Recharge: Moderate.
Co2-You create a cloud of Co2 sending your enemies to sleep, causing toxic damage. Damage: Minor.
Kryptonic Twister-You create a tornado of Krypton gas, lifting your foes into the air and are immobilized. Causes Crushing(or smashing) damage. Damage Moderate(minor DoT). Recharge: Slow.
(NOTE: Does not push enemis away but only lifts them into the air.)
Cobalt Cannon- You create to balls of solid cobalt and fire them at high speeds towards your target causing smashing damage(Knockdown). Damage: High. Recharge: Slow
Mercury- You create a humanoid construct out of mercury (Either Male, Female or Huge models: Random). This pet has access to a Mercury blast power and some super strength abilities.
(NOTE: Acts as the other control pets: Animated stone/Jack Frost ect.)
