Very serious Going Rogue question

I know people are getting sick and tired of these threads but I have/need to know this answer.

I'm specifically making a character for Going Rogue.
I made a Brute...started playing redside just to see how the Brute AT felt...my character is now very high in level.

QUESTION: When Going Rogue comes out...will I be able to switch my already level 50 Brute over to blueside...or will I have to create a brand new character for Going Rogue?

I ask this because I plan to IO this character out...and we all know how much that costs.
If I can switch over an already level 50 Brute then I will start IO'ing him out right now.
If I cannot switch over at level 50 then I will just use generic IO's and then recreate the character when Going Rogue goes live.

I understand that no one may even have an answer for me but I had to ask.

I'm not sure if this has been answered definitivly, but yes you should be able to take a 50 over.

As far as we know, you can switch sides with any AT. BUT... they said it will be like a trial or some arc you have to go through to make them from villain>rogue>hero and vice versa. You will be able to keep all your IO's and "moola", everything else is coming to us in bits and peices.

"every defender needs to fight. I don't care if you have to use BRAWL!"

Your 50 will be able to switch sides - but they've not said how yet - all they've said is that it's not a "light switch" where you just change sides in an instant.

I don't recall any confirmation that inf would transfer - in fact, I thought I remembered a redname saying, "We haven't said that it will" when someone was assuming it would. If you've got a link to a source that said it would transfer, I'd be interested in seeing it. My search-fu kinda stinks.

I've heard that we will keep everything when we switch--but it doesn't really matter considering how far away GR is, and how undecided everything currently is.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Yeah I understand that it's so far away.
I just don't want to put all my influence/infamy into this character if I will not be able to switch him.

You'll be able to switch him, regardless of level and AT, rest assured.

(We just don't know much more than that at this point.)

Thanks for the replies...sorry for posting another GR question.

Current indication seems to be that the switching process is available to any character. It will most likely be one or more story arcs. And since we know it's possible but lengthy to switch back and forth on the same character, that would imply it's also repeatable content.

Your Brute could go to Praetoria after GR is released, become a Rogue and get access to Paragon City (but not Wentworth's), and then become a Hero, losing access to the Rogue Isles (and gaining access to Wentworth's). If you chose, your now-Heroic Brute could then become a Vigilante and regain access to the Rogue Isles (but not the Black Market), and then become a Villain again, losing access to Paragon City and regaining access to the Black Market.

They announced that there is a middle position between villain and hero on the path to changing sides. Villains > Rogue > Hero. Hero > Vigilante > Villain. In the middle position you can visit the other side but can't use the markets there until you make the full switch to hero or villain but either way its clear you can switch sides with existing characters. Pretty cool stuff!
