I'll be leading a hero side Hami raid on Monday, 12/21 at 9:00pm eastern (go here to find what time that is where you live). I'll be leading with my Tanker, Celestial Lotus.

If you're interested in leading a team, post here or contact me in game @ArwenDarkblade.

If there is enough interest in Monday night raiding, we can make this a weekly event.

You know, I really miss Emping for raids. Count me in.

I would like to participate with my brand new 50. She's a tank (dark/dark). I might could get Lark to join who is a controller (grav/rad) and perhaps 2 or 3 others from our coalition.

I don't believe any of us have ever done a Hami before and would need some instruction. How long do these things generally take? That seems like a pretty late start.

BTW - my tank has recall friend if that's important.

Quatermain's I9 Hamidon Raid Guide is a fantastic resource to familiarize yourself with the basics on how Hami Raids work. Keep in mind that the guide is a rough outline and might not be a 100% perfect representation on how things will go (for example, some raids have Blue Teams, some do not). But it'll give you a good sense of what to expect. Additionally, our leaders are really great at walking everyone through the process so everyone knows what they should be doing when. Make sure you have the Request channel in your chat bar and follow the raid leaders' instructions and you'll do just fine.

Justice Hami raids are what I would call "PUG-style," so there's no "you must bring x type of character" or "you must have this kind of build" nonsense at our raids. Just bring the character of your choice and make sure you're on the appropriate team and you're good to go (if anybody is unsure of what team you should be on, just let us know what you'll be bringing and we'll tell you what team to ask for ).

Justice tends to have their raids later in the evening East Coast time to give folks on both coasts a chance to participate. The West Coast is 3 hours behind the East Coast, so 9pm Eastern is 6pm Pacific time...which gives those on the West Coast a chance to get home from work so they can join the fun. It's been awhile since I've done a Hami Raid, but most of the blueside raids I've participated in ran anywhere between 45min to 1 1/2 hour (if I recall correctly, the upper end was a particularly rough, but successful, run).

Sounds good Manoa thanks. I know my tank can't join the Hami taunt team, as much as I'd like to, because of my lack of real KB protection (only 1 KB IO). But I'm willing to do whatever task is assigned. She's pretty scrapperish (the need for damage on a tank/controller duo made her that way) so maybe a yellow team.

I've posted an announcement on our sg boards and I'll include a link to that guide. Hopefully I can drum up some enthusiasm.

I will help. I volunteer to lead Yellow Aggro or Hammi Aggro.

Thanks for the link, Manoa!

And Manoa is right about the start time. Also, raids only take about an hour, tops, and only slightly more if things go badly.

I'll be leading Hami aggro, but will need plenty of other Tanks for yellow and a Hami backup. There's a place for everyone, so don't be shy about showing up!

We're going to do a no retreat style raid, or at least attempt it. If there are too many new people, we'll do it the other way. I'll post more details about that later.

Thanks so much for all your interest so far! I'd love to see Justice get back to regular raiding!

Most new raiders will not realize this until they show up, but Hami raids are very popular on Justice.

To that end, make sure that you have your intended toon parked in the Hive well before raid time, and switch over to that toon before the raid proper.

Most of the time the raid will start on the designated hour if not sooner, and the hive will generally fill to capacity within +/- 10 minutes. Note that hiding seems to be a popular sport among hami raiders, so using the find feature (/sea) for the hive will yield about 35-36 names before the zone is full.

If you are doing something different before the raid, count on using the search feature to see how many people are in the hive starting about 20-25 minutes before the raid begins and you will get a sense of how quickly the Hive fills up.

Different raid leaders also have varying popularity and experience, but the longer they raid the better they become and the sooner the Hive fills as they develop their raid partnerships.

Usually coming 10-15 minutes before a raid is adequate, but given the holidays that may not be true.

Hami raids are generally retreat raids between waves unless otherwise noted. This allows for the puggish nature of Hami raids on Justice without requiring prefarming of EoEs, shivans or nukes.

I'll be there for the raid. I'm bringing rum, so don't trust me with a team...

I haven't done a raid since y'all started doing no retreat style. Looking forward to it!

I don't know if this is a compliment or not so, um, thanks? Maybe?

I haven't lead a raid in a while, and haven't lead a whole raid since I9, but have been a team leader quite frequently and used to lead raids pre I9 quite a bit. I'm sure you remember, as I remember you SBing my Tanker.

I have been thinking that I miss leading raids and was looking for the opportunity to do so again. This new push to get a raid schedule came up, and I took it. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Heh, it's only an observation that new raid leaders need to develop a rapport with everyone downstream. Missing a bunch of issues doesn't make experienced players forget who you are.

I hope to partake tis as well, so hope to see all there!

Count me as a tentative "yes." I haven't been to a good hami raid in a while, but I'm finished here in Japan as of EFFING TODAY and heading home tomorrow. So I'm back on a more normal time schedule.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

Shadowguardinal now has mag 12 knockback protection and is parked in the Hive ready for tanking duty.

I'm getting a little excited. I'll see you guys there!

Just a reminder about tonight's raid, and some info:

If you have EoEs already, please bring them.

We are going to attempt a no retreat raid.

Raid is going to start at 9:00pm eastern (see the op for a link to a time converter). The Hive will fill up before then (hopefully!) so please be early.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Thanks to Arwen and the other raid leaders for a fantastic raid! My first raid in many, many moons and I enjoyed it immensely! Hope to participate in another soon!

And Shadowguardinal was happy for your contribution Manoa!

And as promised...

The Hamidon goes down!

Big thanks to all the great tanks in our team who took this baby tank under their wing.

Thanks SO much for organizing this Arwen. I am so happy to have finally gotten to take him down. Now Shadow can feel like Tanya Tyler has been at least partially avenged.

You're more than welcome! I'm glad you were able to attend. And it was great that you were on the Yellow Aggro team! I'm glad you got the chance to do that.
