General Advice to the OP - if he's still reading.
Most of what's been said is good here
1. Keep moving - your best defense against stalkers are the keys W, A, S, D and Space bar.
2. Play what you're comfortable with. If you play a Dark Defender or Bubbler in PvE, try them out in PvP. Yes, the powers act differently, but speed/skill at placing Clickdrop powers or attack chains can really help with the transition into the new system
3. After you have gotten beaten a lot - ASK QUESTIONS. You might be surprised how that ******* PvPer can be really helpful at finding out where you messed up.
4. Team. Simple and to the point. Teaming in MMO's is essential to PvP. If you have 2 people and you go up against a team of 6, odds are you aren't going to survive. Team and team often.
5. And finally - leave excuses at the door. There is nothing more annoying hearing "GANKERS! try that one when my friends get here!" or "FoTM playing noobie..play something else why don't you!" If/When you lose, bring it harder next time - then you can talk.
