Oh hey, that reminds me, there was also a special pose that would happen if you moved sideways (the behavior FPS gamers inappropriately call "strafing") while flying. It vanished when the original random-flypose mechanism was redacted and, to the best of my knowledge, didn't return when flypose emotes were turned on. I kind of miss it. Like walking, it did nothing useful, but was vaguely amusing.

I think some of you guys are making the assumption that because we can have different visual effects for travel powers, and other powers can have both different VFX and different animations, that travel powers could also have different animations...but that's not the case.

Movement modes are not the same as powers.
Could you at least merge all the prestige sprints into one power (Prestige Sprint), then put all the current FX as customisation of the power?

And could you change the sprint animation to look more like sprint:


Instead of the current jogging:


Please??

It has to be one version of Fly and one animation of Fly for everyone, until Paragon make the necessary code to get that working.
More specifically, one animation per power. We already have powers that alter movement animations, but those are still static to the power that does it. You can't make Sprint do the Ninja Run and not have everyone else's Sprint do the Ninja Run, for instance.

Thanks Zombie Man! I hadn't even considered a macro because I was so caught up in the idea that Walk had power suppression effects that I didn't think it would work. Thanks though, this'll help alot!

Just to point out, Prestige Power Slide is a prestige sprint power that has a different animation to the others.

Part of the tech that changes the animations is already in place. We just need the way to best implement this to the travel powers. This would also give COX the power selections that CO now has (aside from swinging).

As I see it it should become something like...

Basic (no walk / travel selected, jogging animation as we have now)

Walk
- Walk (walk animation like we have now)
- Crawl (on for legs)
- Stalk (slow walk looking around and suspicious)

Sprint
- Run (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Slide (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Dash (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Quick (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Rush (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Surge (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Ninja (basic Ninja Run animation)

Prestige Power Sprint
- Run (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Slide (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Dash (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Quick (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Rush (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Surge (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Ninja (basic Ninja Run animation)

Ninja Run
- Ninja (original)
- Athlete (foreward sprint like the image above shows)

Fly
- Spear (flypose1)
- Super (flypose2)
- Y-formation (flypose3)
- Flex (flypose4)
- Fire Aura (pre-lvl 30, full body fire)
- Dark Aura (pre-lvl 30, full body dark)
- Riding Stone (standing on a big floating stone)
- Hover Board (standing on a controllable hover board)
- Hover (Hover animation but with fly speed, great for vampires and aliens)
- Jetpack (?, might be better as a craftable costume like the jet boots)
- Energy Aura (pre-lvl 30, full body Glow)

(ps. Keep emotes for fly-poses and let them overrun the base settings)

Teleport
- Flex (Original)
- Wrist Control
- None (instant teleport with the effect but without animation)
- Communication Device
- Shimmer out
- Wormhole Effect
- Smoke

Super Speed
- Run (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Slide (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Dash (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Quick (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Rush (foreward sprint like the image above shows)
- Surge (foreward sprint like the image above shows)

Super Jump
- Jump (original)
- Ninja (basic Ninja Run animation)

Just a basic layout idea... this gives less slots... better control over the animation that we use and leaves the possibility too make more and more additions to the powers. Almost all powers involving travel is just an animation change or Aura/Effect add to one we already have.

Even though this should actually be a seperate suggestion... hmm...

I KNOW it cannot be done YET!. I also know that this would be the answer to a lot of requests if it was made.

Thats the reason I moved the idea into the suggestion as a seperate idea.

What I meant is that the tech that switches animation is made for other powers. Just not for the travel powers. Ofcourse this needs changes in the travel powers and the way to access them. Not unlike the ones made for the normal power customisation.

That is just what I meant here... That should be done. From there the game can grow more easily (in travel powers at least).
