I hate my level 38 BS/SR!
You are really gonna need a few IOs for SR to be survivable, but once you hit the softcap it will be great. You could easily softcap for under 100mil and probably 50mil. Also BS and SR tend to both have high endurance drain, so you might not be able to get rid of that problem without gimping yourself, or getting really expensive IOs.
think that's brutal? Try BS/SD. I never rolled a hero again! XD
EDIT: just remembered I am in fact trying a scrapper again 3 or 4 months later. claws/regen, much better end-wise.
You likely just have easily-resolved build issues. There's nothing particularly endurance-heavy about Broad Sword/Super Reflexes. You have Stamina, right? If so, then it's pretty much down to your attack slotting. Attacks need endurance reduction. The best cheap way at your level is to frankenslot. As for being squishy, do you have Tough and Weave, or did you skip those because of the endurance issues? If you skipped them, take care of the endurance issues and then pick them up. They make a big difference. Do you have Combat Jumping or Hover? I'd suggest one or the other. How about a Steadfast Protection unique? If you're going to invest in one IO on a Super Reflexes, that's the one.

Grab the passive accolades. They don't cost anything and give you merits to buy IOs with as well. The only thing that sucks is having to run the f'n almost unbearable posi tf. Other than that its pretty easy to get them. Run the 6 tfs and that takes care of a lot of the kill badges . They are expensive, but get numina and miracle +end procs. I would, at 36, have 4 slots in def toggs, 3 def and one end, save other slots for attacks and slot 1-2 end red. I'd be spammin parry until i got soft capped as well. Should be pie to be softcapped to melee, which should take care of most of your survivability problems.
Level 50s: to many to remember at this point
Ok. So I rolled a bs/sr scrap and I've been playing him off and on now for about two months. He's a 38 and just got elude. But I hate him.
I have all the toggle powers slotted for def. Almost all the auto powers as well. He uses so much endurance that he barely makes it a mob before running dry. And eispite what I heard about SR after SOs he is really squshie. Should I stick with this build and dump 200 mil into sets?? Or rerole to something else. If so what. Note. My issue is wih SR I think. I really like the damade potential of the BS. |
It's definitely not a lost cause. In the final build i may even suggest dropping parry for slash for added ST dps, and then running a dual build for exemplaring to include parry.

It's an end hog indeed (BS that is) especially since you're likely attacking with the 20% recharge boost. First off, only put evasion on when you need it (and by when you NEED it I mean only when you're fighting nemesis) until later...
Shields actually has it easier since its t9 doesn't hard crash, you can use it sort of like conserve power.
However for you, I'd suggest taking it 3 more levels and getting conserve power, since you're already 38. Alternate that with elude as problems arise until you get physical perfection. Things ought to be looking up by now.
Next IO's, IO sets of any kind will add end reduction to all of your attacks at no expense to damage/acc/recharge. That will as noticeable as stamina or more so.
Lastly, get the perf shifter proc onto stamina and PP, that will allow you to run pretty much endlessly (even with weave) if you're going between spawns, AV's of course are a different matter, but if you're on even a decent team, elude or CP will keep you running.
Just a little further and You'll be well off.
