Are Dom's too squishy?

As said it isn't a good idea to put it in Earthquake, however I actually fit the whole kinetic crash set into stone spears on my Fire/Earth, if you can find the slots for it, it actually turns into almost a mini lift/levitate and you get the bonuses

lol. That is excatly what i did when i redid my build on mids. I figured that the the damage on stone spears kinda sucks anyway...so i didnt see the harm in putting the kinetic crash set in.
For an earth/earth dom is it better to go for perma dom or take the fighting pool and build for resistance/defense??

Too squishy compared to what? No, they aren't too squishy depending on how you trying to play him. Get aidself if its a big concern.

I agree with most of the statements on this thread I will also tell you this: if this is for PVE you will be just fine. Earthquake will save your life all by itself.

I'm looking at you, Fortunatas....

On most of my Doms I try and stay at 36%-42% def to range and 20-30% def to aoe,smsh/lthl with about 48% res to smsh/lethal and something else.
I came to the conclusion with the help of forums and the 5k hours of playing doms that for the most part, anything in melee range of u should be under a mez of some sort and when that is not the case you go to range and mez then take them down .

With a decent amount of def and res and a good balancing of going back and forth between your aoe mezz, ST mez, and then your secondary assualt powers. You should be able to stay knee deep in almost any mob.

But for straight up survivability in a dog pile of freaks I would have to say that the /Psi would last the longest IMHO. I have tried the @evil undie AE mish that is full of freak ambushs on my Ice/psi and I usually just bring a tray full of lucks and that's it. When set for +0/8 I usually end up being the last "squishy" standing or the last person standing period. I guess creative combinations of phase shift + good def and heal self can also help u to last longer.

You arent playing a real dominator. You are playing a watered down blaster and a wannabe troller hybrid.

Isn't that what a Dominator is?
