Would be nice if....

The prizes for the AE Arc of the Year are nice, but wouldnt it be cool if 1 or more of the winners were actually made into in-game task forces? Put the contact in an actual zone and map the missions into entry points in that zone...

The only final criteria would be that it would have to fit into game canon.

I'm sure the game writers would have to tweak the stories a bit, which would be ok as long as the general flow of the story is followed.

178774 Tales of Croatoa: A Rose By Any Other Name ( 2009 MA Best In-Canon Arc ) ( 2009 Player Awards - Best Serious Arc )

I am hoping they give the winners a special listing like "2009 Winner Best Hero Arc" and all the others get a Dev's Choice.

I would object if these winners get a special treatment just because they happen to live in the USA and can compete in the contest in the first place.

Make a contest for everyone playing this game and choose the best one for ingame rewards like dev choices, becoming cannon etc.

This is a good point. I think it's because of the physical nature of the contest's prizes that the awards were limited to US residents and annexed Canadians. They're decent prizes too. I'd be happy with what I got if it was me.

Thinking further, the player can mention their award in their arc description. I hope the arcs don't get locked in place, some could use further fine-tuning (even though they are very good).

I don't disagree with Airhead often, but here's one for the books. I tend to think that an iconned award is appropriate. Heck, I'd even be good with two of them -- "2009 MA Award Winner," and "2009 MA Award Nominee," leaving some of the other arcs that were close, but didn't quite make the cut, subject to Dev's Choices.

I'm not sure any arc's every going to be perfect, and every arc's level of "perfection" is really in the eye of the beholder. I say, go ahead and give them lock down awards. Compared to many of the arcs already locked down, these are gems.

The SOLUS Foundation - a Liberty and Pinnacle SG

"The Consequences of War" - Arcs # 227331 and 241496

They may be decent prizes, but their existence locked a lot of people out of a chance at participating in the first MA promotion event ever.

Do they really think we wouldn't have all jumped at the chance to enter this contest if there was no tangible prize?

I would have eBay'd off the prizes anyway, they were all rather worthless to me. I just wanted a bit of recognition.
