Holloween Idea

As much as I like ToTing I think it would be great if there was some way say if we died by say a vampire then our toon turns into a vampire and the game actually takes control of your toon until either a hero or villian defeats you. Then you would in respect have the option of going to your base (if the option is there) or to the hospital or use a wakie. This would add a bit more spice to the game. The big thing here is that not only do you keep your powers but you gain some from who ever killed you being a vampire or zombie.
Just an idea to spice up things what does everyone think.

No thanks.

If the game is taking control of the player (not a good idea, no matter how you look at it), then the AI is not sophisticated enough to use your powers, much less your powers added to some generic vampire/zombie/werewolf powers. If you remain in control of your zombified/vampirized/were-ized character, then it becomes open-world PvP, which most players in this game abhor.

Edit: I think an acceptable alternative would be, when a vampire/werewolf/zombie kills a player character, spawn a new vampire/werewolf/zombie NPC named something like "Zombie {Character Name}" which only has zombie/vampire/werewolf powers. Maybe even a badge for killing your zombified/varmpirized/were-ized self

I can see how that would be a better viable option. Something in effect. Question would be then would what ever killed you get one of your main abilities. LIke if your a healer the ability to heal, Blaster some sort of blaster power....etc..etc..

I would say no. It would probably be hard enough to make the newly spawned critter share your name. Giving it even one of your abilities would probably be harder, and making the AI use that power correctly harder still.

That would be friggin' epic. I would pay big bucks to see that implemented next Halloween!

Also bear in mind that with the advent of SSK there is more chance of getting higher level players in lower level zones. So if, for example, a level 30 player is on a team of level 15s in Steel Canyon and becomes a vampire/werewolf/zombie they are no longer teamed and no longer sidekicked.

Thus you have a level 30 game controlled vampire/werewolf/zombie loose in Steel Canyon after it finishes defeating all of it's former teammates who then turn into vampires/werewolves/zombies themselves. You may also see a good portion of the players in Steel Canyon turned into game controlled vampires/werewolves/zombies before someone gets around to defeating the level 30.

While this sounds fun in the pages of a comic book it would, IMO, cause the fun level to dip sharply in an MMO.
