Irregular Spawn Sizes

I've noticed that when I run my missions at an increased difficulty (anywhere from 6 - 8 man) that the spawn sizes and make up vary wildly within the same mission. Some spawns will have 6 or 7 enemies, while others will have twice that number.

Is there any reason for this? Have the Devs said anything about the inconsistency? I've noticed this on all sorts of missions: Story Arcs, Radio Missions, etc. All of these have come while solo. I've also tested variations with one other on my team, which usually leads to bosses being added to some of the spawns, but the same inconsistent numbers.

The total number of enemies is going to vary depending on the ratio of minions, LT's and bosses that are generated for each group. A group that spawns all LT's will not have as many enemies as if that same group consisted of all minions, to use an extreme example.

Well, from what I can tell all of the spawns have several Lt's...but some have fewer Lt's and Minions, while some spawns have more of both. It's not like one spawn has 2 Lt's and 7 minions and the other has 4 Lt's and 6 minions. It's more like one spawn has 2 Lt's and 5 minions and the next one has 5 Lt's and 10 minions.

Are you sure it isn't two spawns very close together?

More likely that that first group has 2 minions, 3 Lts, and 2 Bosses. Each spawn has a certain number of "points" for building the spawn, and Bosses still use up their regular amount of this point total, even when scaled down to Lts.

Your really small groups are probably very boss-heavy, while the small ones have one or no bosses, and a few more minions than normal.

On a similar note, is it working as intended if I get missions with nothing but Lts.? Been running some solo missions with a scrapper on the default difficulty. In one mission, I'll get what I consider a standard type of mob setup; 2 white-conning minions and 1 yellow-conning Lt. Next mish, I'll get no minions and nothing but 1 or even 2 orange-conning Lts. for spawns. I could understand if I were getting a mix within each mission, but it seems to be all or nothing, 2 mins/1 Lt. or all Lts. Enemy group doesn't seem to matter, though it's really annoying if it happens to be Tsoo and nothing but Sorcerers on a toon with no controls.

Unusual, but not unheard of, even under the old difficulty settings.
