Goyas Saturn
(See? Watching University Challenge on the BBC does teach you things, even though I rarely get more than 3 answers in the half-hour).
If you follow the link by Carnifax you can see the original painting in full colour. Examine the face of Kronos (as in Kronos Titan) closely. I have always found his expression really, really disturbing. Kronos is also called Saturn in Roman Mythology.
The Legend: Kronos was an ancient greek god/Titan who overthrew his father. It was prophesized that he would be overthrown by his own son. He was afraid of this happening, so when his children were born, he would eat them. Finally, his wife tricked him by giving him a stone to swallow while hiding the actual baby, Zeus (as in Zeus Titan, and Jupiter in Roman Mythology). Zeus overthrew Kronos, and in the strange way of greek mythology, forced Kronos to vomit out all his siblings that had been swallowed. (Somehow the siblings were all ok after sitting in divine hydrochloric acid for so long, um!)
Hercules (as in Hercules Titan) is the son of Zeus by the way. Jack Emmert likes his Greek Mythology.
