Nested Quotes?
Nope, quote pyramids are extinct now.
So now we can quote multiple posts at the same time by using this button for each message we want to include:
And even if you aren't very good with code, it doesn't take much to move each [quote=name;#] to the beginning so it'll look like this:

Did you all know: You can use the little up arrow next to the person's name in a quote (or quote pyramid) so as to jump to the post? Actually, I'm sure many of you did.

Here's a little primer I posted in another thread that shows the before and after coding:
Nested quotes:
Use the multiquote function to tag each post you want then hit any 'quote' or 'reply to thread' button.
Each tagged post will show up as a series of blocks... and hey, if you got that going on, is there really any need to 'nest' them?
But if you're set on nesting them move the second-to-last block right after [quote=name] tag of the last block and the third-to-last block right after the [quote=name] tag of the second-to-last block and so on. Raw tagging in editing looks like this...
Code:
[quote=Abigail] I say 'one.' [/quote] [quote=Bobby] I say 'two.' [/quote] [quote=Candy] I say 'three.' [/quote] turn the above multi-quoted post into.... [quote=Candy][quote=Bobby][quote=Abigail] I say 'one.' [/quote]I say 'two.' [/quote] I say 'three.' [/quote]

Thanks folks. I can see the need to kill quote trees. Ideally I would have liked to see them still here, its easy to lose context otherwise.
On the otherhand, people tend to get stupid with them, so I guess this goes into "this is why we can't have nice things" file.

I think I did that accidentally once, then couldn't remember what/how I'd done it later..... thanks for the reminder.

Hey folks,
Quick forum usage question. Are nested quotes/quote trees turned off for the new forums or is there some option setting voodoo I need to do to turn them on?
