Slotting an IO chance for buildup. Tactics?

I have a mastermind that I has taken most of the leadership powers.

A couple of questions.

I have a Guassians Synchronized Fire Control IO (chance for buildup).
If I were to slot that into the Tactics power how would that work? Would all of my minions in range of Tactics have a buildup chance? Or is just my MM character? Also how does chance for buildup work with a toggle power? Does it give a chance with each power tick?

Hav'nt been able to find the answer anywhere else. Thanks for any help you can provide.

It has a chance to fire every 10 seconds, and when it fires it only affects you, not any allies or pets under the aura.

Thank you very much for the fast response.

Now just one more question I just thought of. There are pet damage IO sets that also have the chance for buildup. When slotting my teir 3 minion with this set does the pet get the chance for buildup or do I?

Also, just FYI, don't expect to see or hear anything when it does go off; it doesn't play the sound effect or animation that the Build Up power does, it just silently adds the damage bonus. It'll show up on your Combat tab, but you won't have any in-gameplay indication that it's happened unless you notice the few seconds of unusually high damage.

(Sorry I can't help you with question 2, I don't know anything about the "pet damage" version.)

The pet will get the chance for buildup, not you. This is also the case with the +Def and +Resist uniques in pet sets.

Actually, I do believe that now the procs that affect you have a Buff Bar Icon.

I know for sure the Build Up IO does. If you right click it, you'll learn that the power is called internally 'power boost' and you can get the real numbers of it by putting [Power Boost] in your chat window.

Unless someone else beats me to the punch, I will log in my Warshade soon and test this with her. She has the Gaussian's proc in her Dark Nova Form, and has to monitor her combat tab to see if it is going off. It shows under Healing Received or something like that, BTW.

How often, then, does the Soulbound Allegiance Chance for Build Up, trigger? It's not clear from the description of the IO. If for example you put it in protector bot, would it always trigger every 10 seconds while either protbot is still active? (I sure hope it doesn't trigger only when the power, i.e., the summoning part of it, is used.)

Does "Sept 17' beat you to the punch?
I noticed it was new for Issue 16, along with some other Undocumented changes.

According to mids it has 17% chance. It isn't triggered by timer but by attacks your bot doing.

*wow whistle*

Ok, looked it up again in Paragon wiki... 16.6% chance for Pet Build up (15% ToHit 100% Dam) for 10 seconds.

Considering the 10 second duration of the BU, it sounds like there's a very good chance it would be up quite a bit if it is triggered by a bot attack, often after just three or four attacks based on the roughly 1/6 probability. It sounds like it might be better slotted with the assault bot instead of the protbot if it affects only the bot category it is slotted in (another thing I'm not clear on), or even the dronebots given the steady number of attacks they trigger.

Where (in which bot set) do most players slot this?

(Edited to add, my bots/traps MM is 45th level, so I hadn't taken the opportunity to take a serious look at this, but it looks like a must-do at 50th level.)

IMO, go with the drones. There are more of them and they have more use for the +tohit because of their lower level.

On the other hand, the only MM I'd go out of my way to get it for is a Necro/* and I'd slot it in the Grave Knights for massive Headsplitter crits.
