Sometimes, it may be possible for support to reinstate a character you have deleted, but you'll have to be as specific as possible about when you deleted the character, when the last time you used it.. whatever they ask you..
be very patient and be very nice to whoever is trying to help you.

The real problem is that I don't have much of an excuse. On the other hand, I've been a loyal player for years and years and years.

Yeah you'll definately need to talk to CS. You'll need the character names and you'll have to tell them as close as you can the date that they were deleted. I wish you the best of luck.

I mean, I don't really know that I deserve a lot of sympathy. I made a decision in haste, and now I regret it. Nonetheless, the support is appreciated, and I will let you guys know if things work out!

NCSupport is your starting point. You will probably need to make a support account (which is different than your forum account, I have no idea why they do this) and choose the "ask a question" tab.
Of course, do not make any new characters on that server with the same name as a deleted character.

Second don't feel embarrassed. People delete characters for a lot of reasons and later change their minds.
I haven't gotten a character restored myself so I think you can either file an ingame petition making the request or click on support at the top of the updater and make your request that way.
Nevermind Sungryphon seems to know the procedure. Disregard my blatherings.

I have had toons restored. Someone erased all mine after getting access to my account. I also know of people who erased them on their own and still had them restored. CS has been pretty good about restoring deleted toons as long as it hasn't been too long. WB to the game btw.

I just had one of mine reinstated about 3 weeks ago and he was deleted for a few months.
1) know the name of the toon
2) server played
3) approx. time of deletion. ( i didn't even know mine, just a few months back)

I played "City of Heroes" and "City of Villains" for years and years, only stopping about a year and a half ago for personal and financial reasons. (Are there any other kind?)
I logged on and found all of my characters there, and I was surprised, since they had all been logged off for at least 500 days. Stupidly, I deleted them because I knew that so much had changed in the game, and that I would be rusty. I wanted to start from scratch. The logic is not terrible, but it isn't a philosophy I ever should have subscribed to.
Obviously, I regret this decision. So I ask: Is there a way to get a deleted character back? I only really care about two of them, both of whom were level 50. Before anyone responds, please know that I am 99.99% certain of the answer already - but I am asking regardless, and hoping against hope.
Otherwise, I guess I'm just another cautionary tale.
