Awesome Accidental Load Screen

It was a while back, I believe when i15 was released. There was a moment when I logged into CoH, my character when I clicked to log in stayed on the screen. It was a very cool effect to see my, of course awesome, character with the Atlas loading screen behind him. It seems a very doable thing, to turn that glitch into a standard when logging in. I'd much rather look at my character over-layed over the current loading screen, as well as I think most others would. It would make the loading screen much more pleasant to look at after the 100th time and beyond. With over 40 different characters -loading would be slightly less painful

I much like the loading screen showing the major landmarks better, it helps someone who is going there the first time get a better feel for what the zone is like.

i think having your toon off to the side of the loading screen would be pretty cool. it wouldn't mess with the rest of the screen to much at all.

edit: i know cool doesn't qualify as a debating reason but it was the only thing i could come up with lol.

I think in this arguement, "cool" is pretty much the only thing up for debate, given we're discussing something purely cosmetic.

On that note, it would be cool, but I'm concerned for my latency. Loading screens take long enough as is, and a feature like this may make them take longer.

Does CoHSplasher cover loading screens? You may at least be able to settle for a screencap to replace it if so.

The off-beat space pirate...Capt. Stormrider (50+3 Elec/Storm Science Corruptor)
The mysterious Djinn...Emerald Dervish (50+1 DB/DA Magic Stalker)
The psychotic inventor...Dollmaster (50 Bot/FF Tech Mastermind)

If it's optional, you'd get a /signed from me.

I like all changes to be optionals whenever feasible. In this case it should certainly be optional, but I know for a fact I would use it!

Just started this forum account and this was your first post? This can't be a post from an actual new user, though, right? This is a rockin' idea.

It does, and you can. Either a single image or a randomly chosen one.
