AE Arcs have been fixed, now...
The overall ticket cap is the same as the cap for merits and Vanguard merits, and I don't see it changing.
The ticket cap per map, on the other hand, could use some adjusting now, especially the lower caps on some of the smaller maps. I could easily hit the caps on some maps even before i16, running on Unyielding, doing arcs that could in no way be considered farms; with the new difficulty settings, I'm hitting those caps quite frequently.
Farm maps are designed so that they can be easily completed when the ticket cap is reached. Non-farm maps, not so much.

I think the ticket caps should be lowered.
I've unlocked all the "unlockables" a long time ago. I'd like to see more "unlockables".
For a system that wasn't supposed to replace normal game play by not awarding drops, the ticket system in the AE certainly does allow one to pick-and-choose the drops they get. It seems that tickets are actually a greater reward to some than the random drops in normal missions.
I'd really rather that the tickets only be usable for unlocking "unlockables" and other impacts on the AE system itself. Influence and xp should be a big enough reward for players that are looking for new content to explore.
The AE, after all, is about new content and not about content that can be milked for rewards.
Merits and Vanguard Merits have caused a different kind of farming. Merits were set-up with a system to discourage repetitive farming on the same day.
Raising the ticket caps will reward farmers and bring some farmers back to the AE. I don't expect to see the ticket cap increased.
If only getting 75% reward for Standard/Standard custom critters is not "in line" with what it intended then non-custom critters should have been nerfed just as much.
MA is just broken is a different direction now.

"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I think the ticket caps should be lowered.

I certainly made a crap-ton of inf buying up ultra cheap 'good' recipes at the height of Meow Fever and re-selling them when the inevitable nerf hit.

The market is only getting more expensive now. My SG and I watched the prices of salvage increase, in some cases over 100% within minutes it was stupid.
The thing tickets does is bring some of the higher end game stuf in the reach of the casual gamer.
Its the same fight as other games: casual gamer vs. the Power Gamer.
I came back to CoX right before I14 released. I didn't know about IOs etc. Then AE hit and with the huge amount of ticket rewards recipes prices were dropping like flies. I was able to get the whole set of oblits for under 5mil. Touch of Death about the same. Since the ticket nerf I can sell the whole set for about 40mil. I sold a full 6 posi blast for 70mil etc.
I see alot of people saying the prices are supposed to be coming down with I16, but its not happening yet. I don't expect it to either.
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
Now that AE is more in line of what it was intended to do, is it time to look into adjusting the amount of tickets dropping and up the cap?
First, I never understood why the ticket cap didn't grow according to level, like salvage space, recipe space does.
Thats about it. I think with the latest changes, which I am cool with, no complaints. The devs need to re-evaluate where they think the ticket volume should be.
