Black Screen

Father Xmas

Hi techies! I'm having trouble after passing the updater. I get a black screen. I can hear the splasher music as well as cursor moving around with <TAB>. I was able to play yesterday. The only thing I have done today was install SW: Empire at War and a new version of ITunes and a webcam. Any solutions?

Sorry, it's still broken.

I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.

Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.

Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I wonder of something happened to your display resolution. Try running the game in Safe Mode to see if your resolution somehow got turned up too high.

Otherwise, a driver update typically doesn't hurt.

DOH!!!! I accidentally changed the refresh rate on my monitor! Switching it back fixed the issue!

Thanks Obsidius!

You run it, click on the "Do a system scan and save a logfile" and then post the logfile.

My first guess is you are running nVidia's 186.xx drivers which is known to not work with this game. Later ones I believe work fine, so do 185.xx.
