Hobo doesn't want a handout. But ...

One thing I really like about AE missions are the tickets, and the ability to do bronze rolls (inexpensive) and get some good stuff (along with bad). What I really like is not getting Invention Recipes, even though at higher levels they sell pretty well.

So while it wouldn't exactly be a handout I'd love to get a helping hand with ALL missions by getting the option of get random drops or tickets.

You could get your choice by selecting it at the same time, same way you can currently adjust how many opponents you face and their level.

Is this pie in the sky dreaming or could/should the Devs actually implement something like this.

Your thoughts?

I'm surprised at myself but I have to say I like this idea. I'm certain the numbers of both the rewards and costs would have to be looked at very closely, but I'd like the opportunity to say which level of reward I wanted to get at what time. It's still random in the case of recipes. I obviously haven't spent a lot of time thinking about the ramifications but on first blush I think I would have to support this.

The Zolgar agrees with this poster.

What possible story justification could there be for Architect Tickets dropping from say...the Hamidon?

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

Obviously they wouldn't be AE tickets, Geko. The concept is just for some kind of a ticket-based system that would allow us more control over our rewards from standard missions. They did it with TFs, why not all missions? As the OP said, it would be optional which I also think is an important part of it.

If you were being satirical/humorous, please forgive me for not picking up on that.

What a great and simple idea! I think what I enjoy about AE rewards most is that I don't have to worry that my recipe or salvage quota will reach its limit mid-adventure and I have to decide what to delete and what to keep.

If give the choice you describe, I would take tickets for the convenience and choice it offers. I like the opportunity to roll in 35-39 range for my higher level characters.

Wish you would change the title of this thread though, if its possible. I doubt that any dev would read a thread about Hobos and handouts. No offense meant, I'm just saying. : )
