How the CRAP do you get xp from AE missions?
I dunno, lots of you DID establish that custom mobs are harder by virtue of using player numbers, not enemy numbers. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that the OP made an enemy group with such an imbalanced synergy that player-death is inevitable.
The issue here stems from the fact that if you make custom characters and you want them to be worth the same XP as a dev-sanctioned critter, they need to essentially have their difficulty cranked up to OMGWTFBBQ levels. Characters on standard/standard are worth less XP than dev-sanctioned mobs, even though those critters will almost always have more attacks and be quite a bit more powerful.
In short, it's not really worth using custom critters anymore.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I got it to work now, but MY BEJEEZUS they made the MOBS rediculously hard. Fighting even level minions (5) and (1) LT, stomped my crack into the dirt. I just tested myself against outside lvl mobs in PI minions and was able to take on 5 machine minions from Nemisis faction and (2) LT's from the same faction. I was fighting Cims in my mission. I am REGEN, so dmg type and dmg mitigation is the same for both. Why DEVS? Why make AE not even playable for people who want to create fun stuff for their RP toons?
I give ya'll 2 Thumbs Down in the area of AE! |
A dev-created mob usually has 2 powers...total, a melee attack and a ranged attack. The fact that custom mobs have more than one attack to cycle through makes a HUGE difference. Instead of waiting until their ONE melee attack recharges to use it again, a custom mob can actually have an attack chain just like we can. That means there's a lot more damage coming in, due to less time between attacks.
Any custom mob will be a great deal more difficult than a standard mob, it's just how they work.

Hey guys, what he's calling a standard mob in fact is not. He's trying to re-create standard mobs using customization. That's why his "Death Mage" is a Dark/Dark Defender. Everything he calls standard is most like just a custom mob SET on standard.
I've made an Olypian Test for my Demi-God against a map full of my custom bosses. |

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
However, my post that you quoted is in response to his assertion in the OP that all mobs are tougher to beat in the Architect, he then used his difficulties fighting Cimeroans backed by his custom mobs and compared that to fighting Nemesis out in the world.
No one is arguing about the obscene difficulty of some custom mobs.
