Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 Issues, Please Help
First: Ignore the wikia site. That's an old version of ParagonWiki that's unmaintained, except by spammers.
Secondly, please post your HiJack This and CoH Helper information. It's most likely that your nvidia drivers are out of date.

"-renderthread 1" no longer does anything. It's enabled by default. I don't know why it would be listed in the wiki unless you are using the old site that is outdated.
Also:
* Video Card Driver: 7.15.11.7948
I don't think that's the latest version.

A world without Hooters is a sad place.
I have an Everex XT5000T laptop with the nVidia GeForce Go7600 and am able to play.
Pretty close to your config -- Vista32, Dual core (AMD X2 here), 4GB RAM.
I don't have it here with me at work, but from the messages it looks like maybe you have managed to turn off your OpenGL?
I cannot tell from the card driver you listed, but you might try downloading the latest Go7600 drivers from the nVidia site.
I'll check my settings when I get home in a couple hours.
We don' need no stinkin' signatures!
Thanks all. I appreciate the help and await more.
This was my Ma's computer and she gave it to me so I'm not sure what she may have done to it prior to me getting it. It seems to be in great condition and runs nicely etc. Like my Ma I'm mostly a tech idiot, however I do my best not to mess with stuff I know nothing about. LOL

Due to Suspicious_Pkg's post I decided to check the settings in the Nvidia control panel. It looks like my Ma or Pops put in a bunch of custom settings in the Nvidia control panel. I reset the settings to default and now CoH is running fine.

Good to hear that you found the problem. I have the same laptop and have never had an issue with it.

The SystemsRequirementsLab Can you Run It? site says I should be able to run this game with no problem.
My HP laptop:
Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo CPU T2250 @ 1.73GHz
2 GB System RAM
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 26002)
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600
* Video RAM: 256 MB
* Video Card 3D Acceleration: Yes
* Video HW Rasterization: Yes
* Video HW Transform & Lighting: Yes
* Vertex Shader Ver.: 3.0
* Pixel Shader Ver.: 3.0
* Video Card Driver: 7.15.11.7948
DirectX 10.0
However CoH is giving me these messages:
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_multitexture
You card or driver doesn't support GL_ARB_texture_compression
My driver is the latest.
I've tried the CoHwikia suggestions of running in emulated Windows XP Service Pack 2. I still get the message.
I've tried the CoHwikia suggestion of putting this:
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -renderthread 1
In the target for the shortcut.
Still no love.
Help Please!
