Rad/Mental
Whoops. I realized I am 2 over on my 3.13 AoE action. I guess I can move them to CJ and pick up some more ranged def to hit 47%. Sweet.

With PSW and Irradiate, I would have thought you would want to build for Melee defense first.
Well, I guess that's a point. Still, I bet I can still get in and stay *just* out of melee range and hit the first row. I'm used to it on other characters. Otherwise, I'll just consider those powers AoE capping mules.

No this is an "I can probably afford it, maybe" type build.

Personally (and I'm am tentatively planning a rad/mm) I'd go /ice app and aim for s/l def. It just seems like the temptation to stand up close and personal is too high for me to go with a ranged def build.
Not to mention hp capped + drainpsyche regen sounds really nice ontop of that defense. Hibernoob "I don't lose" button too. Seems like a really survivable and high aoe damage blaster.
Anyway, this is just a skeleton build that already has 41% s/l def that shows just how little effort it will take as it still has lots of powerpicks and slots to play with and so far doesn't have wasted slots used just to "boost" def.

So Lewis, you're saying you are both rad and mental?
That explains a lot.
See you on Pinn.

I would agree S/L defense is prolly best for /MM blasters. I just rolled a Rad/MM is it as fun as it seems it could be on Mids?

All,
I'm thinking about making a Rad/Mental with good (eventually) Soft Capped values. I have the new Mid's planner and I came up with this. OK, it has absolutely zero in the way of global recharge, but hey, I've almost soft-capped ranged def (44%) and I've got fairly strong AoE defense (34%) and a boat-load of global accuracy (62%). Does it seem like an adequate build that can be done fairly cheaply? (Well the Miracle and the 3 zephyr KBs arent cheap.)
Thanks,
Lewis
