Not having fun with this at all....
*Throws Legos at Angry*
O_O
Well, I'll just say I'm having MUCH more fun with this now that I know how to use the floor tiles. It literally cuts the time needed to build something down to a tenth of what I was spending trying to set the height of every single item individually.
Well, i guess i just need more practice since everyone else has it down. lol. Off to practice.
This can be true wherever you have to place stuff in tight spaces high up. Otherwise objects can block the view.
Then again, most of my bases have two or three floors everywhere, with secret rooms stuck in every conceivable nook and cranny.

I see myself as witty, urbane, highly talented, hugely successful with a keen sense of style. Plus of course my own special brand of modesty.

I haven't played around with it myself, but apparently you can use /commands to position the camera at given coordinates and to change the view angle to anything you want. Seems more trouble than it is worth to me but I expect it would give the best results when you got the hang of it.
Well, I had a floor of desks right over another floor of desks, both near the ceiling. It is extremely difficult to place items between the two without Hover.

Of course, the best idea in this case would be to build floor by floor. Don't place the second floor until you've finished the first. Same idea for second floors and all the way up.
Combat Jumping is for noobs!

I am Lord Omi. Now and forever. They can take our City, but they can't take me.
You know what:
I'm going to Apologize for what I had said earlier and will replace my Jargen with the more apropriate:
"To Each their Own"
...I leave for ONE EVENING and everybody's throwing the Legos.
