Last year, we met up in the lobby of the hotel to arrange for carpooling. I assume that the same will happen this year.

So folks aren't concerned about picking up their badges early? That was the reason I pushed the dinner out until 6pm, that and to give the Star Trek Exhibition crowd plenty of time to putter around. Granted, you could still pick up your badge/register on Saturday, but then you'd have to make a decision about going to Holders, picking up your badge, and whatever temptation the Con organizers have Saturday morning!

I have not yet given the thumbs up on the reservation/order (just got the confirmation/approval e-mail yesterday) so I'll wait until Monday for feedback.

P.S. I just want to say the organizers are evil making us choose like this!!!

Well, early registration starts at 4:00, so I think that gives us enough time to pick up badges and still have a leisurely dinner. (Meet in the lobby at, say, 5:00 to be at Buca by 5:30. That gives us 2 hours to eat and get back for games.)

The Trek exhibit is open all day, though I was planning on getting back from it by 4:00. But if that makes it too tight, it can be pushed back, or just go on Sunday.

::clears throat, almost giggling with glee::

I am proud to announce that my Dad (@Mortus Amicus) will be joining us for Dinner and the Con! :: squeals:: He's actually *driving* out from Ohio on his own starting a week beforehand. He's been playing for a few months now, and was really interested in coming and meeting people from the game to make some new friends.

Depending on how clean we get his car before his drive (heh...) he might have some room to drive people around as well. I'll get some clarification on that in the upcoming weeks.

So count one more on the list Red!

Gratz Karo.

One question though.

Does this mean I'm losing my driver?

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

OK, per the requests, I've rolled the start time back to the originally planned 5:30pm. I've made the change in every post of mine I could find so that anyone going back will see it as 5:30pm, so hopefully no one will get confused.

Also, I've asked if the meatballs could be served on the side to accomodate anyone with vegetarian sensibilites. The up-side to this is you won't have to try to carve up the ginormous mega-meatballs on the spaghetti & risk spaghetti sploosh! You might just get sauce sploosh if the meatballs are served in/covered with sauce.

Not at all! Dad's driving his own car, and actually had initially not planned to come due to not wanting to "step on my toes" ::rolls eyes grinning:: When I told him quite bluntly that it would be *awesome* if he could come, he promptly bought his ticket. hehe. So even though he'll be there, and I'll be spending time with him, he'll have his own transportation, and I'll still be driving.

...

Which reminds me to brush up on the area map so that in case of GPS failure, I know where we are. hehehe...

Well, that should help Brax. We all know from last year that things did not like staying on his plate.

Bummer we can't attend the dinner. Hope we have a chance to other Justice-related stuff with the attendees!

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

Well, I believe that we are still planning on going to Holder's Country Inn for Bacon Waffles on Saturday Morning.

It will be really nice to have Bacon Waffles in the presence of Bacon Lord Bob.

Just had a bacon waffle for lunch today! I "had" to take the service engineer that came in to fix the microscope carrier over to Holder's because I made him hungry for them the last time he was here!

I should be ready for another in a few weeks!

Did you remember to have them leave off the powdered sugar this time?

Yes I did! Though... someone at another table asked the waiter if he could warm up some maple syrup for him. THAT sounded like it would be awesome on the bacon waffle! I think I'm going to have to remember that for Saturday the 24th!

The service engineer decided to try it the way they serve it just to see what it's like. He has decided I'm no help at all with regard to his efforts to lose weight!

Well, if weight loss was something I had to worry about, I'd be avoiding you like the plague.

And maple syrup heated properly is WONDERFUL on pancakes or waffles. Especially waffles since you have all the little pockets to catch the syrup in. It tends to run off the pancakes a bit faster since the heat seems to thin it up slightly.

heh heh..... he said sploosh.... heh heh......

I might not be able to make it at 5:30. Reason being is that they are doing a special pre-event on Friday that starts at 4:00. I am hoping to get that done and over to Bucca by 5:30, but thats smack in the middle of rush hour, so I may be a little late.

I had warm maple syrup on mine last year (it was on the table), and it was quite tasty.
