Yea, pretty much the reason i have not been playing that much is because of the lag. I had no lag problems when i lived in GA, and when i moved to VA its unplayable at times. Ironically i beleive the server for this game is actually in VA, so i have no clue.
i used to lag so i wanted to do a test and see if it was me, and use it as an excuse to get a new rig. So i now have a....

Now when i say i dropped a ton of cash trust me lol, my visa card almost melted when i was paying for it, i might even have to rent the kids out for cheap labor to eat lol. And i got on freedom and lagged just like anyone eles i even mapserved once and got killed lol. If i had got this rig for cox id be furious but i wanted to play AION in style the open beta starts tomorrow lol.
Edit this all seemed to happen after i15 for most ppl so... and also it's just poor server stability because when you mapserve like 10 or more ppl do it with you, so yea it's them, it's no way it can be all of us. I probably can launch the shuttle with my new rig, but can't play a decent game of cox haha.

Honestly, i doubt it is just because of hardware of your comp; if i farm with someone or pvp, i freeze pretty much at the same time as ppl with me on vent on same map. It is just Freedom server, AE brought whole lag bs. There is just little hope that with i16 there will be less AE farming and server will get lil bit more stable :/
Yep, was almost unplayable last night. I have a more than capable rig, which did not always lag like it has been as of late.
Also, alienware is too expensive, and has been know to lag mortgages. :P
I'm pretty sure connection speed has more to do with it than your box after asking a few people in zone about what they were running. It would seem that anything less than a Fiber line and you're risking some lvl of lag...

Personally I hardly ever get any lag in RV. I do hear a lot of people complain about it in bc but I figured it must be their comp or connection.
Ya, I run a good rig with a fiber connection and had lag 1 day last week, and hardly any if at all in the past.

No it isn't my computer. I play L4D,TF2, Killing Floor, CHAMPION's (for god sake) with no problem and lag like hell in Freedom RV.
